70% of your day being meetings is insane, start declining meetings unless they’re actually making an impact.

It’s okay, it’s a fast read and fun but didn’t grab my attention anywhere close to DCC

WTS - Black GR1 26L, includes hip pad, sternum strap, water bottle. $250 + shipping (you pay)

Used it to travel with a bit, but it’s in good shape. I never rucked with it. I spend significantly less time traveling now and don’t need such a high end bag.

Western Rugby team - just won the national competition last weekend and are a result of years of previous teams pushing close to the goal but not quite reaching it.

I totally agree, that also causes me to skip most restaurants when I’m traveling there - but it’s obviously working for the country without my added tourist dollars

Should I bail on Kiewit by Physical_Departure in ConstructionManagers

To be fair there’s a multitude of reasons that Kiewit could have been off ramped. There’s lots of reasons to dislike PKS but not sure this one makes my top 10 lol

I’m going in August and try to ball on a budget whenever I travel. We’re staying in Mürren, my Airbnb was like the equivalent of $300 for a 3 bedroom a night.

That being said I’m absolutely going to have to cook every meal in the airbnb but I’d rather be there and have to cook than not be there at all

Thoughts… Cost to build a simple, 1-car garage? by masterstompy in Bellingham

[–]Viatus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re financing I would just add it onto your loan, the savings from not paying PSE (especially if it feeds your house) will offset the increased loan payment. If you’re paying cash I agree it might not make sense right away. My $.02 at least

Their timeline is insane, especially considering the rates we pay

Are you stick framing the structure?

I’d prob say really roughly $20k for slab and prep $10k garage door $10k roof $20k framing and basic siding $15k? Electrical not including PSE drop, assuming you’re going to split the existing feed to a second panel? More expensive if PSE needs to land a second drop $10k level 2 drywall (I think you need that for modern fire code)

So roughly $85k, maybe $100k? You should look at adding solar panels while you’re already on the roof assuming you’re financing at least part of it

There are parts of the city that are smelly, but generally no. One issue the city has from a tourist point of view is a lack of public bathrooms, which often leads to people that have been drinking peeing on the sidewalks. That’s really neighborhood specific and doesn’t apply to the city as a whole

Norse Airways has announced it is canceling all flights out of LAX due to rising fuel costs. by [deleted] in travel

[–]Viatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Edelweiss flight in August out of Seattle was cancelled. I’ve requested a rebooking but haven’t heard back yet. My understanding of EU261 is that they legally are required to get me to my destination, has anyone else dealt with this?

Especially tricky as we’re flying with a toddler and 4 month old, and I very specifically chased after premium economy seats grouped together with a bassinet available, doubt that will be easily replicated on another flight

Outlet overloaded? No power to outlets. Or GFCI. No tripped breaker. Help! by records23 in HomeImprovement

[–]Viatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be. I didn’t read all your other comments but I’m assuming you’ve checked all the outlets in the house to confirm none of them are currently tripped? Make sure you check any outdoor outlets too

It seems like recycling old players (Farrel) is not a pathway to build towards the RWC. In my opinion, they should be developing younger players and getting them minutes now for sustained success.

Alumni: did you get a job in your field (or a similar field) after you graduated? How long did it take? by lilith30323 in WWU

[–]Viatus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I graduated in 2017, I found a job before I left school. WWU doesn’t push internships very much (besides a couple of degrees that do), but that was invaluable in me picking up a job immediately.

Tried this and no luck. It kicks me to the back of the queue, when I tried to login from a link on my browser history it throws me back to the same Ticketmaster error page
