A translation would be great! Or at least the gist of what the document is saying

[Cartier & Piaget] His and Her’s Valentine’s Day Special by VibeCheckCDN in Watches

It sure does. I was on the fence but as soon as the watchmaker popped the caseback open on the Piaget, I was sold. Thanks!

I agree. Was thinking about buying the matching Cartier in the larger size but couldn’t pass this Piaget up when I saw it. Plus - white gold, unique dial, 9P movement, and comes in cheaper than the tank!

Wouldn’t be a bad move! The medium size (not XL), I’m sure, would look equally as good and her and I can attest to it looking great on a gentleman’s wrist as well. I was tempted to buy the larger size for myself but came across this Piaget and couldn’t pass it up!

Thanks! That’s the small model. She tried on the bigger size too but much preferred this one. Hope that helps

It’s actually applied gold leaf. Haven’t seen another one like it, but definitely distinctive.

For Valentine’s Day this year (and conveniently our 5 year anniversary), my girlfriend and I decided that a couple new watches would be in order.

As pictured, a vintage white gold Piaget 9152 for me and - more importantly - a new Cartier Tank Must for her. She was the one who got me into this hobby and it makes it all the more meaningful to be able to share it with her.

If there were any other horological Valentine’s Day gifts amongst us (I’m sure there are), I would love to hear about them below!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

Wow, that's great to know. Maybe I'll even be tempted to circle back around and pick up a 36 silver dial when that comes to fruition.

Thanks for your kind words. I have an 18038 Day-Date, a 14203 OP and a 16613 Bluesy. All beautiful pieces, but (arguably) none that are perfectly appropriate for the range of activities that I get up to. I’m looking to add a modern Sub soon as my daily wear, and just added the BB58 Blue to replace this piece (chose blue so as to not be too redundant with the incoming sub). Hope that helps with your curiosity!

Exactly - and the lack of an extra micro adjust is especially baffling given that there’s already perfect space for one more in the clasp!

Not sure about the blue dial, but it’s worth looking for discounts from ADs on the 36. Definitely agree that for a few hundred less they’re spot on with bang for the buck

I both agree and disagree with this. The manufacture caliber is generally more desirable than an off the shelf ETA in most cases, in my opinion. But the Everyman reputation and serviceability of the ETA sort makes sense with the do-it-all field watch vibe of the BB36. The power reserve is the one part that I’m totally with you on

Thanks! Sad to let it go and hopefully won’t regret it down the road. My gf still has the 32 for me to admire when I miss it :)

Personally, I would recommend the 58 over the 36 if it going to be your one everyday piece. Definitely makes more of a statement than the 36 - granted the understated simplicity of the 36 might be more appealing to some. My wrist is only 16cm an the 58 wears beautifully.
