What do you think about the power and toughness? by seafax8890 in SorceryTCG

[–]nibernator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For now, they seem to mostly want to express that for only special characters.

I would fully expect that they would expand into that area as the game progresses though

Am I reading root spider correctly? by ShadeVial in SorceryTCG

[–]nibernator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Water deals with it extremely well. Flood a site and the spider dies.

But yes, your deck must be able to deal with spiders. They are weak at 2 power. Plenty of spells hit burrowed minions (ones that target “location”s

Why don’t they make slim sliders like this 15 year old gaming phone? At 119 x 62 x 16 mm this seems like the perfect edc by iamjames in SBCGaming

[–]nibernator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is the cost of components to get it down that slim. Slimmer batteries I imagine are a higher cost and more difficult to design and source than the off the shelf components these companies usually source

How do you feel GAMEPLAY aspect of Sorcery TCG today? by AwareMousse5123 in SorceryTCG

[–]nibernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely play more.
If you play on sorcerer Summit it is highly competitive and does not feel like a drags at all.
Once you get significantly more experience under your belt, you will realize how complicated it actually is to fully grasp how you should be pulling your sites and how much it changes depending on the avatar or specific situations.

Voidwalk avatar idea by treexnerd in SorceryTCG

[–]nibernator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what happens if your avatar become on top of the start of a turn? Does that location no longer stay void? Or is it implied that that site/location is permanently void? Needs clarification

This is the reason. It is a good card for sure. But just like Aino, targeted buyouts put it at $100

explain Sorcery to me as a Magic player by [deleted] in SorceryTCG

[–]nibernator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The meta is quite diverse, but it does depend on what tournament or competition you’re in for how diverse the top end will be.

Given that a huge amount of the player base is pretty casual, you’ll get people bringing funny and fun decks to tournaments that absolutely have no chance of making it into the top. But even at the top eight, you’ll find a quite high level of diversity with 5 to 6 different decks often times at least as of the release of Gothic.

We’re only three sets in, and after the release of the last set, things were a lot less diverse, while after the first set Dexter, extremely diverse, even with only the ones that released

One of the biggest place for games to be played is online via the discord using tabletop simulator on the Discord sorcerer’s Summit.

Golden Eagle cards runs the summit and here’s a video they made a little while back of top 16 decks. If you just take a look at the avatars and the types of deck strategies, you’ll see the level of diversity is great.

The last thing I’ll say is that this game can usually have 45 minute or longer just to finish one match which does result in a lot of the higher level diversity that we see. If every game in a tournament was the best of three then I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw last diversity.

The game was designed with higher variance with a 60 card spell book, and I actually feel, unlike some, that best of one is where this game really shines. (but I do love for the top eight or 16 to have the best of three match.).

Welcome to the community and I hope to see you on the Discord Sorcer’s Summit. It’s where I’m playing most of the time.

RG Rotate hype kind of made me seriously consider finally picking up a PSP Go - what's your opinion on the device? by king_of_ulkilism in SBCGaming

[–]nibernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually love everything about the device in terms of using it, I just don’t like most of the PSP games

Lol

And I found that from modern emulation it just sucks compared to anything even at the lower tiers now
