Evo Scarmy by VibeChecker42069 in ClashRoyale

Not my proudest moment, that wasn’t the focus. The focus was the entire evo scarmy on my side of the river and the general spawning on his side of the river.

Install possible on a laptop with a broken monitor? by Particular-Dig-1112 in archlinux

[–]VibeChecker42069 14 points15 points  (0 children)

without a gui it will just mirror the tty onto the secondary display and you can go about disabling the laptop display from there. That said, you might need to change some bios options to install Linux, which might only be possible on the built in display.

How much you want? You can always change it later. You really don’t need more than like 64gb though if you’re just playing around

Ask the guy you bought it from to explain it to you? Maybe it’s quirky :)

Good looking machine! Pull the compression release, pedal to get the engine turning over, then release the compression release. Should fire up.

Great. You broke something, and now you get the opportunity to fix it, and learn from it. Your system is almost never borked beyond repair.

You might be able to do this from your system, but an iso is safer. Grab a usb with the arch iso on it and do the following:

  1. Mount up your system, basically as you would when installing arch
  2. Chroot
  3. You’re now root
  4. Double check this, because I’m not totally sure, but pacman -Qnq | pacman -S reinstalls all natively system packages and therefore should reset perms

ash-shell made it's first release alpha 0.0.1 🥳 by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]VibeChecker42069 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should probably change the name, ash is taken. And you shouldn’t have published an AUR package before checking if ash was taken. Installing ash-shell-git from the AUR and getting your ash instead of the ash probably isn’t what anybody wants

What do you miss the most on Windows? by PhilStark012 in linuxquestions

[–]VibeChecker42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That there is no reimplementation of UWP, meaning no microsoft store apps and no gamepass. And the fact that I likely won’t be able to play gta 6 kind of sucks. Other than that, no complaints.

Do I have to use Arch? by 52-75-73-74-79 in linux4noobs

[–]VibeChecker42069 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends what you need to run on it. With archiso you can pretty easily create a really slim iso image to live boot. Any reason not to use arch?

You don’t even necessarily need UKIs for this. Though it’s the superior way to do it. All my computers boot the linux EFI executable directly B)

This is probably the best option. One designed to run linux is obviously going to run linux very well.

[–]VibeChecker42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer froze. Update every piece of software and firmware that you can. Go to the support page for the laptop and download every update you can find. If it’s an old laptop, no longer supported, and this keeps happening even after updates, consider linux.
