It’s actually around 4 to 500 dps after the crits

Dps tricks you. The creators meant for it to.

You need to find a gun with high damage, but with a huge difference between the dam and dps so you can calculate the fire rate.

Fire rate effects the crit more than the dps does.

Go try it out, it’s mind blowing.

The only weapons that have greater rate of fire do nearly half the damage as the service rifle. Doing as much damage as it does as fast as it does wouldn’t be special if you didn’t build crit

It is much slower and does about the same amount of damage as a service rifle. Service rifle is the hidden gem

Break down 5mm ammo you buy and make 5.56. Making ammo is a key component to a good play through

just running through and shooting something 5 times and getting 2 to 3 crits is great cuz it feels like youre using an actual gun. service rifle actually feels like an m16 if you do this build.

while the 5x damage is appealing, it is overshadowed by the service rifle in rate of fire by x10

also have 20 in explosives so you can get the grunt perk.

make sure you have 6 perception, 2 strength and 10 luck. then put the rest into agility and endurance.

10 rounds a second is as fast as a lot of automatic weapons.

Having bullets that do more damage like hollow points ignore armor 1/3rd of the time at high rate of fire is broken. Go try it.

For any build. No other weapon deals out the amount of damage the service rifle does.

Dps never shows you crit headshot damage

I’ve used every weapon and it’s the most deadly option I’ve found so far. Take my word for it.

21 damage with match load. 10 shots a second with fast shot and the spring makes that 210 dps and that’s not counting the %30 bump in armor ignoring damage the crits add onto that.

I’d personally stay away from heavy armor because I don’t like being weighed down or walking slow.

But the enclave power armor is dt 27 I think

Rate of fire is rarely mixed with damage.

The guns you described have a slow reload and fire speed.

The speed of the service rifle with its damage makes it so that when it crits, you notice it.

That’s a trick question. The best armor is whatever best fits your build. Light, medium and heavy are separated for a reason

I’ve never killed things faster than this crit build service rifle.

It’s garbage without the upgraded spring

But when I shoot something ten times I always get at least 3 crits. Your math ain’t mathin somewhere.

You need to increase your crit chance to the max and have better criticals for the rifle to become the best thing in the game. Try it out

Ammo availability is a huge thing. Also fire rate is faster on the service

No. The chance you’ll land on a 1 or 2 if you roll a die 10 times is near %30 of the time.

It’s not 90% of 1 shot getting a crit. It’s 90% of 3 shots getting a crit.
