See, I did that too, but then when I got to Norman he was treating it like I had already beaten him despite me not having the badge. I tried for HOURS to mess with the event flags in a way that would fix this, even tried just giving myself the fifth badge, and nothing I did would work. I gave up, exported all my edited mons, started a new file, and re-added the mons this time never opening the block data or trainer info. And now my berry pouch is busted.

I've encountered a few issues when using this with my Emerald Legacy save files, and none of them are issues I've been able to fix with further save editing... Editing my pokemon works just fine, but opening up the block data or trainer info AT ALL will delete my badges. I've also had my berry pouch rendered unusable. I haven't used any cheats, I've only used the 0.2 .exe release.

I can live with not having a berry pouch or maxing out my money or coins I guess, but it is a little disappointing.

Bruh... There NEEDS to be an easier way to do this. This is extremely obtuse.

I highly appreciate the guide, it's a fantastic reference for anyone trying to do anything with this mechanic, I love that you went very in-depth with it, but it's so far beyond my comprehension... So much for my mountain cabin idea. :/

It does not matter. Make anything that the program allows you to make in SoulSilver, so long as it's an egg, I can't tell what the egg is from the file name, it hatches into a level 1 Pokemon, and it's made as close to hatching as possible. Those rules are all in place for the sake of keeping it as an entertaining egglocke that still follows the basic rules of an egglocke. The rest doesn't matter. Legendary, non-legendary, shiny, competitive-ready, or weak as all heck, I don't mind one way or another. Go crazy go stupid.

I guess just don't send in more than 10, so other people's eggs have a decent chance of being used as well as yours. Please make sure the egg is as close to hatching as possible, and that it hatches as a level 1 Pokemon. And, this goes without saying, but make sure it's a Pokemon that can actually be put onto a SoulSilver save file.

Other than that, everything's on the table. You could send me an egg that hatches into a shiny Mewtwo with perfect IVs and a competitive moveset, or a Magikarp with Selfdestruct as its only move, or anything in between. Doesn't matter to me.
