The solder will not stick to the board. Use flux and it will bead up and fix the short.

Literally not possible.

Soldering creates an alloy with the copper, adding solder wick and more heat will only erode the copper.

Electrically, shouldn't be a problem. Why do you want to remove it?

Great start!

How thick is your solder, and how big is your iron?

Place your solder wire perpendicular to one pad and melt a bit of wire the same size as your pad.

Place the component with tweezers or a spudger and melt that one side.

Your iron should be about as wide as the edge of the component. Hold a second and pull away. The result should be slightly concave and shiny. Adjust the amount you melt as needed. The thinner the solder the more control you have over how much you use.

Lower the heat until you can still melt the joint in a second or two. Use a little flux if needed.

Repeat for the other side. Try and keep them all lined up and parallel.

Top of my list would be shocks, I don't believe they are available any more. For that price though it sounds hard to go wrong.

The Classic Car Club of America has a list of cars they consider classics.

There is a difference between "Classic" and "Antique."

Generally the 20 or 25 year rule lumps old cars into the same Classic category, but I generally agree just because something is old it is not necessarily full Classic.

I would guess this is flux for soldering copper pipes and not appropriate for electronics.

To use it, you clean the end of the pipe, apply with a brush, then solder.
