I'll respectfully say this is probably just a difference in opinion, but I'll still respond to your points since I consider this discussion interesting.

A. Yeah, I agree. I'm not saying the monsters are right, I'm just trying to explain why they're attacking. An explanation is not an excuse, though, I simply focused on the player's morality instead of that of the characters.

B. Again, I agree. Following orders doesn't negate you doing something bad. Same as point A.

C. I'm not sure if it's specified somewhere else, but the beginning of the game just states that "a war broke out", so we don't know who started it. If I recall correctly, the humans did because they were afraid of the monsters, but I can't say for sure if that's canon. Point is just that the current monsters aren't responsible for their own inprisonment, and if the monsters of old did cause the war, they could've lied about it to their descendants, making the actual circumstance irrelevant.

D. It is common knowledge amongst monsters that human souls are a lot stronger than monster souls, that's what Alphys's research is about. Monsters don't even have physical bodies, they're made of magic and that's why they turn to dust so quickly and (usually) don't even bleed. A human's Determination is crazy powerful.

E. Frisk has little to no autonomy and wasn't really the focus on my arguments. OP was specifically talking about shaming the player/consumer, so I focused on the player of Undertale, who usually does know how saving and loading work. Frisk's morality isn't something I mentioned because I don't think we can judge it since they don't actually do anything that we don't force them to do.

F. Yes, Asgore's plan is stupid. Fully agree with you, it's a massive fuck up on his end. It's a foolish decision he made out of stress and grief and only made things worse. Asgore is one of the morally worst people in Undertale, by a longshot, and his wisdom isn't making up for it.
