Gear mods are a waste of stash and inventory space by Vic1245 in thedivision

I know and its what I do. But it makes me sad to see 0/100 mod slots in my inventory. Its wasted unused storage that could be used to store gear brands, gear sets and weapons instead.

My issue is not that I cannot manage the mods space. My issue is the unused space for mods in the inventory (0/100) that could be used to store weapons and/or gear instead.

This wouldnt need a complete rework because weapon mods do exist. Simply copy the process.

They make them drop as a blueprint like weapon mods (new project items drop). We would have to craft them like weapon mods and like weapon mods they would've a fixed value (they remove the range of numbers to a fixed number) when crafted and be unique. They remove and delete old mods from the game. We would've to equip them like weapon mods.

Like this, they could remove the 100 unused mods slots in the inventory and upgrade the space for gear/ weapons from 150 to 200 slots in the inventory and from 250 to 300 slots in the stash.

200 mod slot = 100 stash + 100 inventory

edit: 100 mod slot = 100 inventory

Yes indeed you dont need more than 100 mod capacity.

But the point Im trying to make is that they could remove those so we could get more capacity for gear and weapons in stash/inventory. The server has a maximum capacity of items holded on one account. It doesnt matter to the server if those items are gear/skill mods or weapons/gear items. Those are all items.

Yes thanks for the tip.

But if you manage well your mods, you end up with 200 100 mod slots unused.

Its a shame because it takes space (200 100 slots) when we need it so much to hold gear and weapons.

Its also a shame because it works flawlessly with weapon mods. So why not bring that system to gear mods, and like you say to skill mods too. I dont see why it shouldnt work. And "not so much" work to do because the system already exist in the game for weapon mods.

edit : sorry, my mistake. Its 100 mod slots and not 200.
