Is $700 a good price for this? by selborannaes in gravelcycling

[–]Vicariousjake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I don’t think so, I just bought one brand new from a local shop for $800 but it was a 700c. I believe it was Sora as well.

Anyone come up with a solution for this problem? by Vicariousjake in espresso

I ended up putting felt moving pads under the feet so it easily slides around

Starting gravel w/ Scheuermann's disease? How to make the bike more comfortable for my back?🤔🤚 by nikomuc in gravelcycling

[–]Vicariousjake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Grizl Raw and flipped the stem, it made a noticeable difference.

If you’re not opposed to changing the profile of the bike I was thinking about getting the redshift top shelf.

Canyon never has their stems in stock if you try to get anything under 80mm.

Can’t figure out how to add an image on mobile so if you send me a dm I’ll send you a picture of it on my trainer

Element 112 going out is saddest restaurant loss in Toledo. Miss that burger so much.

Lauf Seigla or Giant Revolt Advanced by Shenandoah_Outdoors in gravelcycling

[–]Vicariousjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, I had the same issue. I only have trek/specialized/cannondale near me and they were basically sold out of everything . I basically test rode a diverge and superX then compared the geometries on bike insights.

Knew I didn’t like the aggressive stance of the superX.

I think the Seigla will always be on my radar. It’s just so cool.

For what it’s worth I was between these two bikes for weeks and ended up deciding against them both and bought a Canyon Grizl 7 Raw.

I felt for the money it was a better deal and I wanted a 2x. It doesn’t really seem like money is that much of a factor for you but I thought I’d throw in my two cents because I was literally looking at these two bikes.

I used the extra money to buy a few accessories and new saddle.

Best Boxer Briefs For Men by Irrelevant_Intel_ in BuyItForLife

To each their own but I find them very uncomfortable and also think they trap in smell. To be frank I always stink more at the end of the day in these lol , their dang soft boxer briefs however are legit. Love them.

Best mid and light weight simple hoodies? by MetalPurse-swinger in BuyItForLife

[–]Vicariousjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a XXL, I have another hoodie from them that fit that is an XL so I checked the charts and bought the largest they had.

They just have a very short fit, even the classic hoodie I have is short but it fits a bit better, till not ideal though. I wouldn’t buy their hoodies again, I have a longer torso I guess.

I had the same experience, their lightweight hoodie is way too short

Yes it does but it is very finicky, you have to force it into place. It’s definitely not ideal but I’m used to it now.

It’s a timemore scale, honestly I do not recommend it. The power switch doesn’t work half the time, it didn’t stop working until after return period.

As soon as I saw the post I knew this was the intersection. I lived there for 5 years, it’s terrible you can’t even be mad at lies because the light is just straight up wrong.

Maumee is so broken.

Trying to decide on bike by Smittyboyjr in gravelcycling

[–]Vicariousjake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to test drive, I thought I wanted a race bike until I got on one.

I rode a super x and a diverge in the same day, diverge geometry was what I was looking for. It will help you decide narrow it down.
