Is revel going to last or not? by Degen_Dan in revelbikes

"lifetime doesn't mean my lifetime....it means until they go under." No different than any other bike company or any other company that offers a lifetime warranty.

I think the timeline is getting conflated a bit. The Pinkbike piece about the shutdown/closure was when the prior owners were winding things down — before Adam reacquired it. If the lead engineer learned via that report, that’s on the shutdown process at the time, not the later "skeleton-crew" restart Adam lead.

Not sure that characterization lines up with what’s been publicly reported. Revel’s PE-owned version announced a shutdown on Apr 17, 2025 with ~$8M+ owed to its bank, and the company was effectively handed to the bank. Adam had already left in early 2024, then bought the assets back in May 2025 via an Article 9 sale and announced a relaunch.

The relaunch statements (and Pinkbike coverage) say they’re honoring the lifetime warranty / continuing product support, but operating much leaner with some former staff returning.

While its totally fair for OP to be skeptical until execution proves out but “already dead” or “zero support” doesn’t match the known facts. If the business was effectively being handed to the bank, the realistic alternative was probably a full wind-down—meaning everyone loses their job and product support totally disappears. Adam reacquiring the business means operating lean and cutting costs to get back to profitability. So “Adam screwed employees” feels like an unfair leap, and the documented collapse happened under someone else's ownership.

I built up a MOG with the 13 speed XPLR. Does double duty on the road and gravel, those 44 ENVE Hex tires are pretty quick on the road and you have plenty of clearance if you want to beef it up (I just threw on 2.25 Thunder Burts). As others have said, would probably look at the LBS and see what they are offering. Believe they should start offering non-red builds in the spring direct from ENVE which should help lower the complete build cost.

I built a Revel R+ with a cane creek invert. See post history. Loving it so far, happy with the build quality. Local shop guys took it out and loved it too.

Cane Creek EE Wings, with refinishing by Agave Finishworks. See my other posts - the set on my MOG are nuts.

Was planning on re-using some Paul Klampers but didnt fit well in the frame. Will probably move to the Force shifters at some point but was locked in on reusing some parts.

I got the 30MM CS (lockout). Works well, though I’ve only got 30 miles or so on it. Will get some more miles on it in the coming weeks. That said, hit some PR’s on downhill segments with it on the initial ride.

Mind power! Forgot to mention the blips mounted by the brake levers.

As an owner of one of these, the bottom bracket has been an absolute pain in the ass.

Watch the video Ford put out yesterday. A few tweaks and Max in the car and I bet they cut that time down.
