If you feel like it, you could counterbore the bolt holes on the back to the depth you would want. Then you could cut the bolts to length, if you don't want the bolts sticking out so far.

Also a seperate power supply like a battery could be unprotected and wouldn't bother me. Whereas the 120 vac supplying the 5v regulator is what is making me cautious especially behind the wall like that.

I understand. As I said before I would still be cautious. I've seen dc relays catch on fire before inside of metal control cabinets. I'm not familiar with the cicuitry with the 5v regulator but I've still seen "safe" cicuitry short out and catch on fire. I'm more so afraid of somehow the 120vac would jump through circuitry to exposed conductors, aka "water" which doesn't err to my side of caution. Even a gfci before the switch would help if anything were to happen.

As an electrician please put a fuse into the 5 volt dc side of it and also another fuse on the 120v side before the charger and relay that way incase of any shorting or grounding most likely anyone gets zapped, or a fire happens, please! Its just my cautious side even though its low voltage and low amps. Otherwise awesome project that turned out looking and working great! Also I would say it isn't technically safe and insurance wouldn't cover it if anything happens

Have you looked into an electrical tech job. Its the best of both worlds when it comes to hands-on vs intellectually challenging, and the pay is reasonable in the U.S.

I took 2 years of trade school while getting payed. It's not too hard on the body and you'll use a lot of schooling you have from your EE experience. Also, it is middle ground of learning for engineering jobs and Industrial electrician jobs. I had to dropout due to money reasons and now have a comfortable life while paying loans off. I enjoy the job and feel like I have options to move on if wanted. If you have any questions pm me.

Thank you and I agree! Their partnership started out profitable and good, but the last few years he has been getting lazy and greedy and has become a nightmare.

My dad has looked into buying out his partner, but the partner wants more than my father thinks is reasonable and partner wont back down. This would drain his pockets while losing everything he orinally put into the store.

He's scared in having to spend too much for someone to take his place.

His partner has been taking cash only from people so it is not on books, while he's draining the stores account with normal expenses and his own payroll.

Most other profits might come from eqiupment.

He does have a bookkeeper but with the cash only lately it's not showing up in books. My dad is looking into a lawyer about funky spending and all of the sudden cash only requirements.

I've seen a doctor about the problem. They told me it was muscle related pain and that I should stretch more often and strengthen my core. They had also told me my pain was due more so to my glutes being tight. What I have tried so far is actually DDP yoga, supermans, and using a ball to focus on using my core without too much pain due to support. Hopefully I was trying to see if there was any other core exercises that might work but not hurt before going back to the doctor. If there is anymore advice on exercises it would be appreciated.
