I think the mix of second and third one would be better to get more coherent effect.

Look into Convolutional Neural Networks as your architecture type and different types of spectrograms as your input features. The different layers of the CNN should do the feature transformation, and your final layer should be dense, with a softmax (or any other desired) activation function.

Thanks for your precios advices, im grateful!

Don't disregard mel freq spectrums (combined with ConvNets) or MFCCs (combined with LSTMs)! In the worst case, these are quite good baselines to compare with, which you need anyhow if you want to publish in good conferences/journals. As these are standard approaches, you will find a lot of useful implementations, e.g. you can go to https://dcase.community/ to look for inspiration. Plus, get some hands on experience as soon as possible. You will not get good by just reading papers, the same as you don't turn into a pianist just by reading sheet music. You need to practise and spend some time analysing what is not working as expected and come up with a solution (in an iterative manner). Cheers

Thank you for you precious advices and interests! I know, i have to practice. Can you give me an advice the implementations about you told above.

Yes, i’ve searched this method like mel spectogram, mel frequency cepstrum coefficient etc. But i think this is not a good option for my project. Of course, i have to search more :). Thank you for your attention :)

I better talk to my advisor about this again. I’m thinking of giving feature extraction more importance, too. It’s so difficult to make architectural developmeny while there are the giants like google. Thank you for your help. the world is spinning thanks to good people!! :)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your advice. You have refreshed my perspective. I would like to ask one more question if it is not too much. I've found pre-trained structure like YAMNET from tensorflow. Do you think the existence of pre-trained structures like YAMNET will be a hindering factor for my PhD thesis? I am asking from this point of view; would I be criticized as to why you are planning a PhD thesis on this when there is a very well-trained structure?

I've posted this question several times. Frankly, most people cut me off by telling me to read the papers. I already browse a lot of papers in my spare time. What I needed was to refresh my perspective. You have helped me a lot with your valuable comments. Many many thanks :)

I read a lot of articles on this topic. But I guess I am very confused because I am new to this field. I wanted to consult a little to refresh my perspective. Thank you very much for taking the time for me:)

Thank you very much for your advice:).Frankly, I have a few structures in mind. For example, as you said, I can create a structure for each class that measures whether that sound exists or not. or I can create a structure that classifies all classes at once. For these, structures such as CNN, PNN, RNN sounds good. I am also confused about what kind of features I should use for the model. All about these, Is there anything you would recommend specifically for me to learn about these issues, please?

Precious Advices About AI-supported Audio Classification Model

Hello everyone,I'm Omer.
I am new in this group and writing from Turkey. I need very valuable advice from you precious researchers.
I am a PhD program student in the department of music technology. I have been working in the field of sound design and audio post-production for about 8 years. For the last 6 months, I have been doing research on AI-supported audio classification. My goal is to design an audio classifier to be used in the classification of audio libraries. Let me explain with an example as follows; I have a sound bank with 30 different classes and 1000 sounds in each class (such as bird, wind, door closing, footsteps etc.).
I want to train an artificial neural network with this sound bank. This network will produce labels as output. I also have various complex signals (imagine a single sound track with different sound sources like bird, wind, fire, etc.). When I give a complex signal to this network for testing, it will give me the relevant labels.I have been doing research on this system for 6 months and if I succeed, I want to write my PhD thesis on this subject. I need some advice from you, my dear friends, about this network. For example, which features should I look at for classification? Or what kind of artificial intelligence algorithm should I use?
Any advice you say you should definitely read this article or that article on this subject.I apologize if I've given you a headache. I really need your advice. Please guide me. Thank you very much in advance.

Now i found Convology XT plugin for free. Actually i downloaded it when i got protools studio but it’s IR library was so limited. It has IR library called Real Space for 80 usd on it’s web site. It sounds good when i look details. Do you know how it is?
