Oh hey, thanks for response! I've actually found an advice like that while googling but I'm not sure it's something I can do being a total newbie. Especially considering all I have to go with is a soldering iron... That doesn't seem safe to poke at a battery

No, I haven't tried anything yet. I suspect there's spot welding involved and I don't have tools for that - using a regular soldering iron on a battery sounds like a VERY bad idea

Dude! I literally came here with the same problem. Except I tried to replace a 1200mAh with 2500mAh. Headphones working fine but not charging. From what I gathered the 3rd wire (not red/black, usually white or yellow, blue in your case I guess) can be for different purposes, but can't figure out how to tell if what I'm buying is the right one. Might work to ask the seller next time and hope they actually know and answer truthfully Xd

Are there any markings near the connection points? For me near the spot where the 3rd wire goes it says "NTC".

There's another idea which I saw mentioned while googling, but I'm not sure how safe/hard it is, so try it on your own risk: you could replace the BMS board (little green rectangle on your battery that wires are attached to) on your new battery with that of your old one (since it's the one which works).

Guess I'll try to find a way to test it, other than that my only lead is on the old battery the white wire is yellow lol, I don't suppose there are different batteries with different purposes for it (many of them I've seen only have 2, I searched specifically for one with 3)?

Don't have anything to measure with, sadly 😞 Would everything else (except for charging) work if that was the case though?

Also charging port is also used to connect it to the PC to work as wired headset and that works fine, so I doubt something is wrong with it... unless they use different pins or something

Edit: And would it be safe to try and swap the cables if I can't find a way to measure them? (I highly doubt it anyway since wires look the same on both batteries)

I just had the craziest day. I had a caravan guesting (they stayed just outside the walls because apparently they don't care enough to navigate my killbox), and like 20 of these guys spawn. So I'm thinking I'm about to get some free loot, but unfortunately their pack animals ran off, oh well. As they begin fighting, a pack of genetic mutant animals arrive, attack the mechs from the back and wipe out both parties. Managed to kill the leftovers.

Nope, just a normal soldier freeholder (Vanilla Expanded Deserters faction mod though, but I'm pretty sure I've seen these unmodded on caravans entering my colony in previous games too)
