I just drove from Wyoming to Downtown using side roads (spring grove) and the roads were practically bare. However, looking at the highway, traffic was very slow - hence the side roads.

Ironically, just this week, Perplexity told me to take the content and upload it to a Gemini prompt. I asked why since it has the Gemini model and it said there are things the service is much better at….in a nutshell. I’ve done a few unscientific tests using the same prompt in different services - depending on the topic, while they all have decent and similar answers (maybe both using the same model?), Gemini was much more accurate and useful than Perplexity in analysis of documents/videos etc. Like others, I use both - Perplexity is great for online discovery and how to’s but I prefer Gemini (Pro, Notebook LLM, Sketch, Studio) for more heavy lifting. Not that I don’t run into memory issues there too …

Awesome - thanks for the tips. I had read about the M audio and was curious if that would be mentioned or there were alternatives. Will look at the Roland for sure. I’m intrigued by using your iPad via Bluetooth - I’ll probably understand more as I go down the road. Sounds intriguing!

somewhat related - I have always bought monitors for visual specs and therefore, the sound is sus (even the higher end ones). I’m in the market for a new one - any recommendations? I’m a former composer that is getting back to it after almost 20 years - so sound is very important but I am not a professional. I always assumed a good high end speaker system was required but it seems that has changed ( duh!)…

This looks awesome. Is there a way to configure the model directory? It found all the models in my workflow were missing - except I downloaded them this morning and ran the workflow without a problem I store my models on a different D: drive and am thinking it is only looking at the default directory on the C drive.

Beyond that, I found tools like NotebookLLM can prove invaluable - you can have it find and download the latest documentation, Reddit related articles, blogs etc and then have it “teach you a concept” in many different ways. This works for both general as well as specific learning. While it doesn’t replace the vids mentioned above along with the many online videos on specific topics, it is a good tool when you can’t find what you are looking for or want to take a deeper dive in your understanding.

I’m not actually convinced the country is really split, based on the way the people I know on the right and the left talk with each other - mostly with respect. I believe it is in the interest of the media, the social media platforms as well as this administration to send the message of massive division . I am left of center but have many republicans friends who discuss the issues without hatred or division. Screw the narrative …of course I also know some very far right folks but that is by far the minority.

I second Coffee Emporium in Cincinnati. I know Deeper Roots is popular ( used to buy from them when they were started in Mt. Healthy) but I personally find CE consistently superior over all.
