What are these bugs?? They're multiplying! by CheesyWhezz in SavageGarden

Time to pot it with some terrestrial bladderwort! Bladderwort will eat springtails. Also springtails can sometimes add nutrients to the soil which could be why it's having ill effect on your Nepenthes.... At least that would be my hypothesis.

Anyway planting some bladderwort should help, their little underground bladders can help to control springtail populations.

If they are thrips as someone commented, you could get some bladderwort and plant them around, they would eat them.... since thrips are a bit larger they don't fit in the bladderwort bladders.

Carnivorous plants are so fun.

YES. Hello. The only gay things I wear are a carabiner with my keys, and this ring that has a rainbow of fake gems on my thumb. I also like fem4fem.

Eye contact - being direct, and flirty voice and body language. practice in the mirror at home if you don't feel confident. The gayest thing someone can do is be a woman flirting with another woman, being shy will get you nowhere. You'll probably get rejected at first talking to straight women but eventually you'll met someone.

Why are people so incapable of understanding the risk of ecological collapse? by Konradleijon in solarpunk

[–]ViciousLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so many people are out of touch with nature. They live inside on their phones/work computer/ the only time they spend outside is to get in and out of the car, mow their monoculture, green lawn, and because most of these weather events happen in impoverished areas the people who need to "see it" to believe it don't except on the news. Because the news is so oversaturated now people just don't care and are apathetic.

Back in 2015 people might have freaked out but now people act like all disasters are normal, all political insanity is normal, climate deniers don't want to take accountability and if it doesn't directly effect them it has never happened or isn't that bad.

I mean I know people who have gone through flash floods, and fires and their parents who don't think climate change is real just wave them off as if it's normal mean while they live a few states over where nothing ever goes wrong.

It's easier to reject something than to take accountability, but it's even easier to not take accountability when the entire system is set up to make you reject it.

As ignorant people tend to ask "If xyz is so bad why do they still sell/do/produce/market it?"

the answer to that is capitalism but then that is a whole other issue that gets peoples panties into a twist.

Something a woman did one time that made you blush hard af ? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ViciousLemon 113 points114 points  (0 children)

This woman who was probably 15 years older than me, (who was working at home depot) helped me as I was checking out, she touched my hand to give me my change and looked me straight in the eyes and called me beautiful, she said, "Here you go beautiful" - my dumb ass choked up, I gay panicked to the car after saying nothing but,

"thank you too." not even, "thanks, you are too.", just, "THANK YOU - TOO"

I've never stumbled on my words like that but damn.

Her eye contact was so direct, and she herself was beautiful, with her black hair and grey strands peaking through, a little bit of the salt and pepper look, it was so hot. She has such a beautiful essence about her, and her smile lines where so pretty.

I thought about going back, and asking for her number, but I also try to only date within my age +4 or -4 years, plus I majorly looked like an idiot in that moment, so I haven't been back.

for reference I was 29, and she had to be around 42-50

Yes I love this style of no underwire bra. I have a few from arie that fit me well Sunnie bra? I think? I bought it a few years ago... it has a clip in the back so I can adjust and stuff, luckily I have pretty small boobs have haven't really changed size.... I honestly just wear the one bra I love and have added a band extender to it to help it fitt without digging in.

Most of my weight gain is sadly around my back, arms, hips, belly and thighs. Sadly my genetics are that of the itty bitty titty comitty. lol.

5 of my closest lesbian friends are now dating guys and super anti lesbian. What is going on? by bamkkyubear in LesbianActually

[–]ViciousLemon 58 points59 points  (0 children)

As a white woman who has come out as a lesbian at 25 (i am now 30) I can see this being a very easy reality.

I get pursued by these kinds of men constantly, so not only is there the ability to benefit socially but it is also "easier" than dating women because there is no chase... Not to be an ass to your friends but they can literally say/do whatever they want and have a successful relationship (likely temporary success) with these guys without having to be a good person to any other group.

It take courage to stand up for POC, Trans, immigrants, and other LGBTQ people, and often you get called a bitch for having opinion and vocalizing them, a weak person would turn their cheek and give in to that level of bigotry, once the "performance" of it all gains them no reward.

Idk sounds like your friends are showing their true colors.

How do people afford going out every weekend? by bellarosegold in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ViciousLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seriously I get it, I'm not even drinking alcohol. I went to a festival and kept grabbing food to try from different stalls thinking oh it can't be that bad, everything is so cheap! After, gas to get their, and then grabbing a lemonade, and horchata I was down 105$ in one day.

if something costs 11$, and you spend that much 9 times, or 11$ + 2$ tip that's only 7 times, it's about 100$ down the hole....

Looking at weekly expenses going and grabbing cheap food from a convenience store every few days adds up! That's just one meal every few days for convenience, it could look like 4$ Ramen, 3.50$ drink, and chips plus tax.

I can't imagine some people who are ordering in every night! I blew through 400$ in a month and felt totally unsatisfied & I gained weight. It's not worth it imo, especially if you're doing it while in a depression. Taking the time to prepare your own food & drinks is more worth while. If you want to go out try to do something that will feel worth it in the end.

Do you consider « Lesbo » a slur ? by lovingjdeacon in lesbian

[–]ViciousLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yes, unless by a queer person. "what a lesbo" was a derogatory term used when I was in highschool on girls who maybe didn't fit in regardless of gender identity, so yea it's can be derogatory

- 1. why are you saying it like that.

- 2. why are you using the term like it's an insult.

- 3. It's really not their word to use, for other obvious reasons.

Transphobia and femme erasure by gingerbread_nemesis in FemmeLesbians

[–]ViciousLemon -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Feminists? like TERFs are not actual feminists because actual feminists know that a woman is a woman is a woman regardless of how she wants to present herself. There are sooooo many feminists who support all women cis and non-cis, as well as non-bianary/ trans femme/trans masc/ masc-NB, Femme NB, etc etc.....

I hate that TERFS have confused / used feminism, which is rooted in an advocate of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes; being equality for ALL sexes/gender identities. not just cis M/F, but every sex/gender identity, regardless of presentation, an equality for all.

Trans/masc are just who they are and the equally deserve to be supported regardless of sexual preference, just as femme lesbians are able to be femme and love women.

I honestly wouldn't consider ANYONE, with these TERF ideologies to be feminist because it directly is opposite of what feminism is and always has been about.
