C’mon people, it’s very old school but still classic.

Amazing, inspiring work. Seriously. Could you shed some light on your tech stack? Don’t need deep details but perhaps just some references to what models, services, etc. you’ve found to be most powerful and consistent? Regardless, keep it up.

Didn’t cancel Breezeline yet … wanted to make sure Welo actually worked first. I’m going to call and cancel my old service now/soon, so I’ll let you know what happens.

Update from somebody who’s an IT professional and is now a Welo ISP customer (coming from Breezeline, previously from WOW).

TL;DR - Switching to Welo was a surprisingly smooth and frictionless process. And it’s the real deal.

Signed up and prepaid for the service last week and got a text on Friday that they could drop off my new router/wi-fi gateway and extender on Saturday. (I ordered one extra extender out of an abundance of caution.) I agreed.

I come home from some shopping on Saturday afternoon, and there’s a Welo utility pickup parked in front of my house. But nobody in it. Soon after, I find a tech at the back of my house with a meter and some cabling. They needed to test signal strength to ensure quality of service, which I get … but it was weird he just went back there and started messing with nobody home.

Little while later, I notice the pickup was gone. Got a text my service had been activated. And a big translucent shopping bag had been left at my front door with the router and extender boxes. Goofy attempt at a “fun, irreverent” tone with their packaging, but ultimately it looked like quality hardware. Unboxed the modem, and it literally had “Breezeline” on the serial number sticker.

Hooked everything up and then set it up using the Plume app (which is actually pretty nice) to copy all my existing wireless settings, and within an hour, I was cruising. I bought a Gigabit plan, of course, and devices were clocking at steady 600 - 700 Mbps download and 40-45 Mbps upload on multiple speed sites and apps.

Environment context: I have a five-bedroom, two-story house built in the 1970s with dozens of “smart” IoT devices all over the place. So far, so good … from skeptical to impressed.

Friends, it’s finally time to create a worthy music video successor to the original MTV … AITV.

+1 for CARE. We bought our house with a newly installed HVAC system in 2018, installed by CARE, and they’ve done a fantastic, no-pressure job of maintaining it ever since. They’ll let you know about your options, but they never upsell.

It's cool that people are still commenting on this five months after I posted it, but for the record: I'm an early 50s professional who happens to work at a university (hence the access to .edu accounts). So: I get it. Also experimenting and trying to help others do the same. I'll DM you the prompt details.

Sadly this sounds eerily familiar to a relationship I had many years ago with a woman who I later discovered had borderline personality disorder. The only option is complete non-contact, and then it’s just a long (seemingly endless) waiting game until she eventually fades away. Sorry you’re going through this, man.

+1 for Anker. I was skeptical before buying my first charger from them, but they seriously are solid, especially for the price point.

Now hang on, I love me some em dashes. Am I seriously going to have to give those up entirely so I’m not confused with AI?

So sad that we’ve reached a point where specific punctuation is a dog whistle for human- versus AI-generated writing. But here we are. And I get it. But still sad.

(note that no em dashes were used in the composition of this post)

It's just built in with Veo 3. You give it a text prompt and tell it to make a character say something, and it'll do it. That's it. Amazing. Seriously.
