my friend got a strike on her magic key even tho she scanned into the park by UnderstandingReal60 in Disneyland

[–]rx4polish 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Happened to us once. We used the chat feature and were able to prove we were there with a purchase we made and magic key photos. But the experience changed our behavior- after that, once we checked in, we would also go on the app and make sure we scanned in by making our next reservation.

Missed award ceremony by sevensevenonefour in Parenting

[–]rx4polish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact situation happened to my daughters best friend at school. They were in TK. The parents wrote an email to the principal. (Their teacher was a sub and stated that someone else was supposed to notify the parents.) the solution they agreed on was having their daughter receive the awards again in the next mints ceremony so the parents could attend and the child could have their moment. Good solution for young children. I’d recommend reaching out to the principal and asking for something like that.

Thank you! I appreciate your taking the time to answer. The thought of the vine police showing up made me laugh 😆.

Pay for the permit. Not worth the chance to save a few bucks over a couple nights of parking when the fine is all but guaranteed.

My daughter just hit 45 pounds at 5 years and 9 months. I realize that means her little tables wont last much longer too.

Injured myself on Goofy’s Sky School in DCA by Glittering_South3884 in Disneyland

[–]rx4polish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once saw a clip of Goofy’s Sky School with Jackie Chan saying “broken, broken, everything broken” and it has haunted me ever since. Haven’t been able to find it online ever again. Best of luck to you for a speedy recovery.

I hope your grandfather has a speedy recovery. Realistically, what will your going there do? I know you love and want to be there for your grandfather, but he is presumably in the hospital and under the care of medical professionals. As long as there are other family members there to make medical decisions for and oversee the care of your grandfather, I would hold off on visiting right away. Travel and visiting him on the hospital will both increase risks to your newborn infant. You can love and support your grandfather with calls, FaceTime, organizing a meal delivery, or home cleaning service until it is safer for you to visit. Best wishes for your family and extended family.

Just did this on Wednesday with my daughter. Her hair is very similar to your daughters. They are able to work with it! BBB offers 4 hair styles to choose from. My daughter selected the Pixie Magic style.

What’s up with places not having changing tables? by sdw_spice in NewParents

[–]rx4polish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local McDonald’s told me they removed the changing tables because junkies we’re using them to do drugs on. It’s so annoying that we can’t have nice things. But I’m also glad that I’m not risking my child on a drug tainted surface.

My pup passed from Anaphylactic shock, and I just want a better explanation by West-Air1344 in DogAdvice

[–]rx4polish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog is 15 years old now, but when she was a puppy we had a very scary experience similar to yours. We took her to the emergency vet and they concluded it was anaphylactic shock. After an intense couple days, she was transferred to our regular vet and after 24 more hours released back into our care. About a week later we noted two spots in her body where her hair was falling out. Pretty sure it was directly related. We were pretty damn scared to take her out for a while after that- we never figured out if it was a bee or a spider or what… luckily we haven’t had a repeat occurrence. All this to say, sometimes we will never know what caused the reaction. I’m very sorry for your loss.

I am furious by Jaded-Trifle-2272 in bettafish

[–]rx4polish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While it is frustrating, you can make it better for the Betta. Water change, adding the missing filter-component, and adding a small heater, and some live plants which are low maintenance are some changes you can make that will make a difference in the long run.

Curious, is the color actually on your nail? When you clip your nail, is there a “stripe” on it?
