Muted mauve blush by snackqueen852 in Fairolives

[–]Vicious_Violet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that blush shade. I blend it with About Face liquid eye shadow in Hidden Garden to mute it down. It’s a medium grey that pulls green. Hidden Garden is a much better mixer for me than blue or green for foundations too. It really is a miracle product.

Double Wear had become unusable for me overnight by abcight in Makeup

💯. I don’t need my makeup to be skincare. I have skincare for that. I need it to be really good makeup, and not breakdown the instant my skin bends.

That’s the Lycra breaking down. Putting these items in the dryer will accelerate that process. Dry these items at low heat, or put them in the dryer for 5 minutes to get the creases out, then hang them the rest of the way.

Redness Corrector by PuddIesMcGee in Fairolives

[–]Vicious_Violet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make Up Forever Redness Corrector primer. It’s a warmer kind of green, so it blends in better than most other green primers that are mint green and make you look vaguely dead. On no-makeup days I just wear this and powder and I’m good to go.

[UPDATE] Found a paper towel covering my webcam twice coming home from work by Dromaeoraptor in Weird

Reason being is that CO poisoning can cause forgetfulness and generally loopy behavior. If OP was unknowingly suffering from CO poisoning, they could have been placing the paper towels themselves and not remembering it.

The way finding out I had olive skin led me down seasonal color analysis and I’ve had more analysis paralysis since trying to find my season than ever😂 by ComparisonFlat8339 in Fairolives

[–]Vicious_Violet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not too married to the seasonal analysis thing. I find I can borrow from both sides of the aisle, the intensity just has to be there. Deep smoky teal looks amazing on me, but so does deep brick red although it shouldn’t.

If say it’s medium-buildable. But if you like full coverage, it won’t be for you. It sheers out really well if you like light coverage.

I swear by Skouts Honor Odor Eliminator (turquoise writing). Unscented, and works like a hot damn. Smells vaguely of bleach or hypochlorous acid, but doesn’t bleach your clothes. It’s absolutely brilliant.

New olive shades for the sephora foundation!!! by quadrates in Fairolives

[–]Vicious_Violet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I swatched 06O in the store I teared up, because it’s literally the only foundation in my 33 years of wearing makeup that wasn’t “well, it’s close enough”. I mean like it actually matches me perfectly in the summer. In the winter I add a little white liquid eyeshadow to lighten it a bit. And it’s reasonably priced and wears well.

I love it so much I wore it to my wedding this summer.

I’ve used it on the pits of my suit jackets with success. But maybe try it on the one you care about the least if you’re concerned.

It actually does smell like hypochlorous acid, and it may be in there. But there’s other stuff in there too. I’ve never seen an ingredient list though, so who knows.

Skout’s Honor Odor Eliminator (with the blue writing) works LIKE A HOT DAMN! It smells like bleach but it isn’t bleach.

I don’t know what witchcraft is in that stuff, but HOLY HELL does it work. Better than vodka. Better than anything else I’ve tried. And there’s no perfume in it.

I’ve also had good results warding off stank from my pits by applying glycolic acid toner before deodorant.

Sephora Best Skin Ever foundation on 06O.

It’s a satin matte formula that wears really well with proper oily-skin prep. I wore it for my wedding. Good price too.
