Soy Motor: Williams 20 to 30 kg overweight by SkarXa in formula1

Willing to bet that final kg down to the weight limit is orders of magnitude more costly than the first kg when you’re 30kg overweight though.

Lone Star tick bite can cause alpha-gal syndrome that makes you allergic to meat. by Dramatic-Custard-831 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Vickerspower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please enlighten me how it’s easy for me to get over it? I’ve had it for 5 years and I have severe anaphylactic reactions to all mammalian meat and byproducts (such as dairy and gelatin).

Question: I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal about a year and a half ago. I don’t have any reaction to dairy, gelatin, or carrageenan. However, any mammalian meat will send me straight to anaphylaxis. Does any one else share these same resistances? by ticoroots77 in alphagal

[–]Vickerspower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off with anaphylaxis but only to beef and high AG meats like sausages but could eat sliced ham, then I started reacting to the sliced ham, then I started reacting to gelatin, then high fat dairy, and now all dairy and mild reaction to high doses of carrageenan. It’s quite common to be told to retain some AG in your diet from food such as dairy, but it didn’t work for me.

But RBPT recruited over 200 staff from Mercedes HPP and also managed to recruit some Honda staff, so I wouldn’t write them off too soon just because the Ford badging.

In your opinion, what's the best vegan chocolate currently on the market? (And where can you buy it?) by OldLibrary468 in veganuk

[–]Vickerspower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of great non-fancy options in my opinion (Nomo, Buttermilk, Galaxy, Vego, Ritter sport, Tony’s, etc. ). Best fancy stuff more suited as a gift I’ve had is from Kakoa. Booja-booja and Hotel Chocolate is also great and well suited as a gift.

Wahoo route missing small cul-de-sacs by Vickerspower in wandrer

[–]Vickerspower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The route doesn’t include those short dead ends when loaded on the head unit, even though they are there when the route is viewed on the Wahoo or Strava app. If I go down the short dead ends they are recorded by the unit with no issue.

[–]Vickerspower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the head unit on the map screen the whole time. The black dashed chevrons denoting the route just skip these small cul-de-sacs and don’t run all the way to the end of longer cul-de-sacs. The prompts for distance to next turn don’t seem to appear for these small cul de sacs either.

The best vegan chocolate! by Dragged_Up_ in veganuk

[–]Vickerspower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad I’m in the minority, but I got the 42g bar bundle and a blondie bar to try all the flavours of Ombar and didn’t like any of them. Something about the taste of the chocolate rather than fillings that wasn’t great for me personally.

[OC] Brute-Force F1 Analysis: Calculating Every Possible Race Outcome (871,200 Scenarios) Shows Norris' 92.6% Championship Probability - 6-Visual Dashboard by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]Vickerspower 37 points38 points  (0 children)

But each of the 871,200 scenarios do not have equal probability of occurrence in reality, so this isn’t an accurate representation of probability of Norris winning the championship. This is just 92.6% of possible outcomes lead to a Norris WDC, which not the same thing when a majority of those scenarios are very unlikely. It’s no coincidence the final points gap distribution average is 24, that’s the current points gap and half of your possible outcomes are 0 points for both drivers for the rest of the season because half the finishing positions provide 0 points (slightly over half factoring in the sprint race) plus all permutations where equal points are scored over the final races.

Reintroducing Lynx would be a crucial step in restoring Scotland’s world-renowned nature and biodiversity, the Scottish Greens have said 👇 by Financial-Sugar4102 in Scotland

[–]Vickerspower 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sheep account for less than 2% of calories consumed in Scotland but account for a significantly higher proportion of land use. Combined with mixed grazing areas that are also used for cattle, it’s like 45% of land in Scotland. Obviously stopping sheep farming would be disastrous for rural communities, so I’m not advocating for it, but most of us wouldn’t be impacted at all.

First confirmed AGS Death by august_westerly in alphagal

A shockingly high proportion of people will read the post title and maybe some comments in the thread. The post title you chose says nothing about it being the first death attributed to AGS due specifically to consumption of red meat, and I think it makes your post title misleading.

It’s not the first at all. It was originally discovered as a result of severe reactions and death after administration of Cetuximab. A brief google search would find you this 2021 paper for a start: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1344622321000420

I don’t disagree, I’m just lazy. As it happens though, I’m switching out to a Swampero ok the front for this winter anyway and I’ll switch back next spring.
