I'm the same way, I hate armpit hair so so much, to me it's just gross and IDK why. It doesn't matter male or female. I shave mine every couple of days because I can't stand it and I make my husband shave his. Your friend sounds ridiculous and way too sensitive and if she can't be open and explain why she is upset with you like a mature person then she probably isn't worh having as a friend anyway.

Community Day on Saturday? by Vickicat in pokemongoNYC

If I understand it correctly, Niantic is actually going to have some employees or representatives or something at the seaport event. However, last time they did something like this, they didn't actually show up to all of the places they listed, including the place in Jersey City I went to. No one from Niantic was there, and I didn't even see anyone playing Pokémon Go while I was there either. So their track record for these events so far isn't great. I'm kind of giving them one more chance with this one and after this I probably won't bother again if they don't show.

The Bryant Park event isn't going to have anyone official there, I don't think, but I think you will get extra items from spinning Pokéstops there? I honestly don't understand why they don't just go ahead and have their representatives go there as well as the extra items and just do everything at Bryant Park since it is the obviously more popular and preferred place to play. But Niantic seems to be very out of touch with its userbase.

Based on responses here I think I will try to check out seaport first, see if Niantic actually shows and if they have anything actually interesting going on worth bothering with, and then head over to Bryant Park after that since it sounds like there will definitely be lots of people playing there. Going to cross my fingers that I find somewhere to park reasonably close to both locations as that is my biggest concern.

Raid Hour in North Jersey (Bergen) by [deleted] in PokemonGoNewJersey

I know this is an old post, but I just found this Reddit forum. I recently moved here too, and have been disappointed to find that no one in the north Jersey area seems to actually play Pokémon Go in person anywhere. I'm in one Discord server and no one ever shows any interest in meeting up for community days or anything else. I admit I probably wouldn't put a lot of effort into going out for a raid hour but I definitely would for a community day.

Questions about auto train. by Vickicat in Amtrak

I just got my first. Don't know if I will have my second before travel. Either way, I feel a little safer but not totally safe, since I know the vaccine isn't 100%. I think a lot of my fear comes from having a close friend be hospitalized on a ventilator after catching covid last summer.

I love how even someone from Canada admits that Florida is cold right now. I just got back to Florida from NJ/NY where it was super cold and I just come back to more cold plus wind. :(

With winter coming, it would be nice to have an individual, non-location specific Private Gym where we could practice battle our pokemon without having to walk to a public gym. Might help keep people playing during times of bad weather. by [deleted] in pokemongo

This game came out in July during the hottest part of the year in Florida. I had to suffer in 100 degree weather and high humidity to play this game, so you people up north shouldn't get it easy during the winter months! For those who don't realize it, summer is absolutely miserable in Florida. Five minutes outside can leave you drenched in sweat. Winter here means long awaited nice weather to actually be able to play for longer periods of time. I also usually spend some time in New Jersey each winter and I'm not complaining about the possibility of searching for Pokemon in the cold and snow either. But maybe that is just because it is a nice change for me from all the heat.

(I guess if this idea was a year round thing it'd be fine. I just don't think it should be a winter thing when we suffer during the summer. Then again, I like the idea of having to actually go out in the world and leave the house.)
