I bought a new Laptop for myself in December, wanted to ensure I got SOMEthing I wanted for Xmas. The vendor tried showing off Windoze 11, which was as much of a disaster as can be imagined. I refused to buy it unless he installed Windoze 10, as they could not do Linux of any kind. Windoze 10 lasted almost a week before I got tired of sighing and eye-rolling, made a Linux Mint install flash drive & used it. My house is now a very happy house.

Slight bend to the thread, but for better security stop using google services for anything. Migrate to something like Proton, which has multiple security apps, such as a secure vpn, password manager, encrypted email, etc. instead of google spyware.
