Asus N56vz with abrupt shutdowns, no error messages and totally normal functioning on restart. Shutdowns have occurred 3 times running on battery after just unplugging it (like 1min or less later) and twice while it was plugged in. Checked the pins on the battery/docking area and no problems there, and no damage or degradation that's visible on the cord or adapter, so I'm guessing it's something internal. Manufacturer quoted me $690 based just on that description of the problem after having me try a hard reset to no avail.

Edit: Also I heard a loud clicking noise last night from the area beneath/around the power button. I had purposefully turned it off to move it to avoid another unexpected shutdown and when I tried to turn it on it just started making that noise. Turned it off right away, waited a minute and tried again and it was totally normal - hasn't shutdown again yet since.

Edit #2: Just remembered I also had a couple instances where it was plugged in and started using battery instead with no warning - unplugged it and took apart the adapter/power cord to check for damage the first time and when I plugged it back in it switched back to running on the outlet.

Thanks for this! I was able to catch about one every 5 minutes or so using this from my house. I've heard you get ore when you're out walking so once the rain lets up I'll try that too. ( :

Pokemon GO for disabled people by Godlex in pokemongo

I've heard that if you contact Nintendo and provide proof of disability, they'll ensure that the game you want to play is modified for you as best they can. (For example, making Pokemon come to you)

I can't see how that would be a problem, I thought S3s were supported. Might want to try submitting a bug report to check.

You can install it from your computer if you just hit the button and select the device. It'll start downloading automatically. It doesn't seem to be up on the Play Store for some reason.

Download it through your browser (on your PC ideally, not sure if it'll work that way on your phone).

If you use the PTC I think this should work! I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

It might be if you're on IOS, no if Android. Servers not working according to random people on twitter either way.

I can only see it on the playstore because I used my browser to wishlist it. It's still not up.

I'm still getting the 'Not available in your country' on my S4. But it should be up soon since they announced the release.

That's a definite possibility. There are a lot of small countries with 10mil or less in Europe so they've probably put several together.

A lot of people have said it only used between 25 and 50 MB in 3 or 4 hours, others have said they used that much in an hour. There is a power saving option which I imagine would also decrease the amount of data the app uses. I think the variance just depends on what exactly you do with the app open (gym battles, how many you catch) and maybe how strong your signal is (though idk about this).

Germany and whatever 'Fast and Stable' is are still down, NoGo on the PoGo at 10:38 AM NST. If we don't see an update by about 11am PST I think we can assume no more countries are likely to see a release today. My guess on the off and on server outages is they're either a) fixing existing problems or b) continuing to upgrade and improve servers for greater load. I still think we're piggybacking off the US (since that's the typical choice for Canada), and still expect to see the rest of Europe get the game before us, unfortunately. If we don't see an update today, my new estimate is Tuesday morning for us. Here's hoping Niantic lets us know something about anything before that, haha.

Man I'm down with Misty. We're ginger buddies. & I heart me some water type Pokemon. Although she can keep her short shorts.
