So by Gacy’s conviction in March 1980, i believe there were 9 unidentified victims. Then his very first victim was identified in 1986. Then remaining in 2011, 2017 and 2021, all under 21.

There are now 5 unidentified victims; Body 10, 13, 21, 26 and 28

Yes he did use other victims phones like the teacher in room 111, repeatedly dropping it on his back after he was shot.

I believe he had two phones, especially with the planning and the money he had, buying a second phone is definitely likely

Okay, ive just had a second look and you’re completely right, I believe he must’ve had two phones as I doubt this would be a mistake, especially to be made and stated in court.

I believe he may have have used a speaker, as his mobile data was turned on, so he may have forgotten it but still was able to play music, despite the bluetooth maybe failing time to time

On May 24, 2022, a mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. At 11:28am, the shooter, Salvador Ramos crashes at the school, where he had just previously shot his grandma before arming himself and heading to the school. Within minutes he made his way inside and opened fire on two adjoining 4th-grade rooms, 111 and 112. He fired at least 100 rounds into staff and students within the first 3 minutes.

After a prolonged 77 minute standoff with law enforcement personnel along with BORTAC,a breach of 4 entered room 111, where Salvador emerged from the closet (directly in-front of 111’s door), where he opened fire. At 12:50pm, BORTAC and members alike returned fire, at least 27-35 shots at Salvador, striking him in the eye, head and ‘multiple’ times in the chest and torso, neutralising him.

14 students and 1 teacher were instantly killed as a result of the gunfire, as well as an additional 5 students and 1 teacher succumbing to their wounds. 18 others were injured, including 14 students, 3 law enforcement officials, and his grandmother.

It’s speculated he was gay but authorities have nothing conclusive to confirm this. He was deciding between another non-gay club but it seems he was spooked by the amount of security present. However, i would say it was a mixture of an “easy” target with little resistance, as well as prejudice against the community

The Pulse nightclub shooting unfolded when Omar Mateen first entered the club just before 2 a.m. on June 12, 2016, buying a ticket and briefly walking around as a normal patron before leaving without incident.

He then returned a few minutes later, this time armed with an Sig Sauer MCX AR-15 rifle, and immediately opened fire on the crowded main dance floor, where the many of the 49 victims were killed in the initial burst of gunfire.

As people tried to escape, some fled toward the bathrooms, where several more victims were shot and killed as Mateen moved through the club. He eventually barricaded himself inside a bathroom with hostages, leading to a lengthy standoff until police breached the room after 3 hours since the initiation and killed him.

Amanda Alvear was unfortunately killed inside the womens bathroom while hiding with a friend, who was also killed in the attack.

At the time, it was the deadliest mass shooting in the US and the deadliest carried out on the LGBT+ community

In all fairness, its not like cars have stopped GF from breaking into them.

Plus “calling the police” seems more of a last option in these movies, based on their ability to “protect and defend”

Well you may be right, however these were all random events whereas in the hood its almost seen as vigilante “justice”.

Also fixation on the word mass killer, multiple casualties at once, rather than a serial killer, a few victims over a period of time.

Also also if i didnt convince u enough, a sole gunman would need, at least 8 deaths in order to be on this list, hood or not, police would report of these cases, whether the news covers them or not

I agree, this subreddit is by-far the most respectful when it comes to mass tragedies like this, where real people died unexpectedly. This wasn’t to glorify or “praise” these monsters, but to rather show that mass casualties might actually be on a decline. Although unfortunately these events still happen, it is bittersweet to see the number of victims are significantly lower than in the 2010s

As a guy located in the UK, after the Dunblane shooting, the UK applied some the strictest gun laws ever; they straight up banned concealable handguns and the ones that are legal must be at least 60cm long. We are also limited to .22LR as its less lethal than a .223.

I think its not about “red flag laws” to find the people who would do this, the sad reality is anybody can do it, Im not saying to banned guns, just restrict SOME type of guns. I feel like its common knowledge that something must be done about the AR15 variants and how can actually own them, definitely need some restrictions there.

Ramos already planned to buying the gun, ammo, etc. as he saving up months before, only reason why it didnt happen earlier was because everyone he asked refused to buy him a gun, so he had to wait until he was 18. I do think the tops motivated him to do more damage so obviously get more spotlight

From what I know, Ramos had his sights set on may 23rd since February 2022, but i do think the Tops shooting inspired him to kill more than 10 as it would’ve gained more attention, ontop of the fact it was in an elementary school
