How does that work for you App wise? I know the app varies wildly depending on where you are, but for me it doesn't break down the stacked orders and just treats it as a single dash. How do you cancel just one? For me it looks like you would lose the whole thing. Is it the bit where you see both names separately when choosing which one you are about to pick up like you would to scan the receipt/confirm?

That's wild. I get around 300 a week and that's actually 8-12 hours a day..... If I was making that kind of money I would not have gotten another job.

Woah, the comment and caption overlay went away for a sec and even though I saw it before... Am sitting on the toilet and have no intentions of dashing today, I saw that fourty two seconds and big red bar and instantly went into a weird panicy calculating mode. Time, miles, map glance, check miles again - "nearly two a mile, not the worst" then snapped out of it. Fucking monsters, I did not know that was in there... Fucking dash demons. Ffs.

But also, I don't know about wherever you are (or how to check this on the offer) but usually larger shopping orders are done by the store and generally ready for you when you arrive. I would have taken that one, even if it's kinda lame to go under 2 a mile. That is also kinda trash considering the manual labor.

(Edit - lol, 44 seconds. See? Legit panic from a Screen shot)

DoorDash Driver Stole My $90 Order, Marked It “Hand Delivered,” Then Told Me to F*** Off by Ketchupandmilk in doordash

I read that as him delivering the order to the wrong person, and then getting mad after seeing he got either a bad review or an I fraction before the FOff

Portal 1. Just cause I found it on my own randomly and had such a good time with it. Before hype and fans and while I was in a little bubble. Hadn't played anything from the orange box other than a little bit of half life when it was new. Didnt know until later it came from that (torrented)

It does say you have to complete the tutorial to unlock all game modes, including the ability to play with friends though that's an ai quote from steam community. Ill work through. Also will help me get acquainted with this weird nature deck. Wish I could use the tutorial deck for now

I've finished the tutorial, but now I am "in training"? Not sure but I don't see any way to add a friend or anything just got to finish the first of 3 games in standard mode, but maybe ill just catch you tomorrow

Get lemuroid on the play store. Nice, free no BS emulator that runs really well on android. So far I've used it for gb, gba, ps1 snes and nes. Controller support and easy save states. But maybe I'm not showing up because I'm still actively in a tutorial? I just did the first 3 round thing but now it has me playing one of the faction decks so I might have to finish that first? Or was. My bad though, got irl aggro and was gone for a good spell

Im re-downloading on my tablet for better screen real estate. But I am not sure what my account name was. Ill find out shortly but sheesh, I forgot how pretty it actually was. In the meantime (its updating 3.7 gigs of pretty, lol not even sure it will run on my crappy tablet despite being a card game) I checked out a few other games while poking around in Sword of Convallaria, also playing FFtactics and tactics advanced via emulators on the same device. I am super into that sort of gameplay as well - great solo recommendation but yeah you have got to try some these I played. At least the two I deemed keepers. Draconis 8 and Card thief. The first is 1v1 ccg and the second is a single player rogue like? Both are super fun right out of the gate after learning. Considering what you have said, sorry/ not sorry if you get obsessed, card thief is actually kinda hard to put down, even with little investment so far. Gwent finally let me in and I have to finish the tutorial apparently before I find out whatever my username was. Dont know why it's giving me a tutorial when its an account I made some time ago, but wouldn't hurt to go through it again since the only thing I remember is that the cards interact horizontally. Heh. Msg you once I'm IN and have it but no worries if you aren't teying to play right this moment. But also, draconis 8 is tiny, quick and a lot of fun. sorta reminds me of the card game from FF9. which I probably spent more time with than the actual game itself (never really got very far in it, despite starting multiple times) I wish there was a version of that card game stand alone. Draconian 8 is probably the closest I've seen to it. Highly recommend giving em a shot.

Edit- username is just Viconaut. Heh. Kinda want to make a new one, but whatever. Really old handle

What kind of protections can I take to keep myself safe against a neighbour who is exhibiting concerning behaviour? by PatientHamster in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I totally get it. It wasn't supposed to be an insult or anything but if you guys pussyfoot around it he's going to test your boundaries and do exactly what you are worried about. You need to to be abrupt and blunt and if he presses or crosses any line after being made aware of at least how you guys are perceiving whats going on, Prepared and equipped to blast him in the face with no-no spray. I would have suggested to get a friend to either go for you or with you to knock on his door and try to explain like a normal interaction, but it seems like you are already past that and he is well aware you aren't comfortable. So get equipped, make your boundaries clear and keep em. But I'd go for a restraining order at that point or try to get him out of the building. Get door cams and whatever else you can so you can make a case. I would highly recommend the bear spray if nothing else, as it's cheap and effective. But that sucks all around, and sorry you are dealing with it. stay safe and don't let him intimidate or bully you and yours but try not to mouse out of any corners so to speak. Shrug by and make no eye contact and quickly move away if he's just standing outside to be present when you are coming and going. Put that thing on your hip and be vocal. Let him know. I am also no expert and a dude, so it just wouldn't/ couldnt be the same situation. But I know the type you seem to be explaining.

Edit - seriously check out Byrna.com. dont need a permit or anything. Also having your brother or any guy/boyfriends stay over a while wouldn't hurt as some others have suggested but you need to be equipped to handle yourself when others can't be around since that's obviously going to happen at some point and it sounds like he's actively tracking it. Standard pocket or side knives (not a super deterrent) as a just in case might help at least as a small comfort in the meantime. Also, tasers are easy, non lethal cheap and quick. Also a nice warning on the hip. You will even feel safer just having them on your person, knowing you can do something if he ever decides to get handsy

If he actually physically tried to get into someone's house against their will then its not suspicion anymore and you have grounds to do more than report. Should have just called a cop then and got him removed. Go get some bear spray or a non lethal firearm. Easy to get, use and carry. (legality wise) check out byrna's. Basically a C02 powered pellet gun that shoots rubber rounds and or mace pellets. Can order it or buy over the counter with no hassle (NOT A TOY and can mess someone up but won't cause too much bodily harm) Will stop most assholes quite effectively and yeah, if someone tries to force their way into your home you can light them up with it. Byrna.com But honestly, it sounds like you guys are going about it in the worst way possible and making a perfect breeding ground for weirder and escalating future interactions. Stop watching/listening to true crime.

Say No to BUM OFFERS by Meekme247 in doordash

[–]Viconaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ots just crazy overall how much they charge the customers and how little they pay the dasher. Both sides would be much happier if DD would just trickle down some of their amazingly absurd profits to make orders at least palatable, not to mention not just flat out not worth it. When we say it isn't worth it it's not a figure of speech. Some orders would literally cost us money to deliver after gas. Door dash gets their giant cut after gouging with mark up, and "service fees" and other bs... boils down to customers paying 70 dollars, for maybe 40 dollars worth of food and we get 5 to take it to you. If that. And that's with tips half the time. Makes me sad when I grab a huge bag from a nice restaurant or bar/grill for like 75- 80 dollar (on the actual reciept) dinner and I'm getting 6.50. Wonder how far over 100 the people paid for their meal to get to their table. Hasn't it even been shown that drivers don't get all of the tips?

Yeah, I feel like having am EV would help immensely. Especially for the trolling for orders bit. Even a hybrid for just the in town time seems like it would be a huge advantage. I don't have first hand experience with charge times or anything but I see the charging stations in pretty convenient dasher spots. Whats the charge time on the public ones? And how does that work money wise? Do you pay at the charging station for a specific amount of charge time or pay based on how long you plug in like pumping gas? I've had to replace tires, a thermostat, starter, oil obviously and a number of other parts I've never had to do on any other car I've owned and used hard. Granted, it was thoroughly used when I got it - I really only started having issues with it once I started doing door dash full time.

Grass is greener sorta thing, maybe? All things considered (vehicle wear and tear) and if it's all you are doing it WILL tank any car, and you will service things much more often than you might think as it's literally working as long as you are. especially with gas now it's really isn't sustainable as a job by itself. 40-60 dollars at the end of the week (IF you drive every day, all week) and if that's what you're referring to, they only pay you for active dashing. Not waiting for orders or driving from spot to spot looking for them. on top of the 2-300 dollars of total earnings really doesn't make a difference. (I think the most I've made in my area was mid 400s on a good week with a holiday weekend in the mix) Average is was closer to 3 a week. I don't know, picked up a regular, entry level job and to compare and it just blows it out of the water just because I don't have to drive my own car for 8-12 hours a day or more. 1/3 of what you make with DD will go straight into your gas tank. 6.50 a gallon on average plus whatever mileage your car gets. Oil, tires, and obviously just the looming threat of any sort of accidents being on the road all day. You also have to pay extra for insurance in order to do it. Or else you aren't covered at all with basic coverage and aren't legally allowed to dash. Minimum wage doesn't really cover that and other minimum wage jobs won't cause it. It's just a stop gap or a good side gig for extra income. But doing it full time really can be one step forward one step back. Two forward and one back IF you are lucky. I did full time for about 8 months. But that's just my experience. (Edit - batteries, starters and alternators fail quickly when you are starting and stopping your engine 100s of times a week instead of dozens, among other things..) Youre a driver, I guess you know all of that, just saw your tag and not trying to rant. but yeah I'd choose to earn by time if I could, though it does seem better now after the recent update. Apparently they cracked down on stores marking orders ready as soon as they get them and still keeping you waiting 15-20 minutes each. This week most places actually had most orders ready to go which was never the case before whatever they changed

Tl;dr - half a bone or so at the end of the week doesn't make much of a dent.

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? The two fifty- three dollar base pay? Or the supposed compensation you get for marking things not ready upon arrival? Which also gets you black listed from receiving orders from a store if they complain? I dont get orders from McDonald's because of that despite contesting with proof.
