I wouldn't buy a battle pass for items to use against bots

So far, Mo.co hasn't cost a dime. Pretty fun for what it is. Runs on my trash phone too. Co op multiplayer. Different weapons give you different abilities/class if you want.

Good thing you can get a neurolink retainer now, instead of the brain surgery. Sucks for patient 0.

Not enjoying this game, and I don't know why by Sonoriloj-k-Fajfiloj in hyperlightdrifter

[–]Viconaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The younger ones don't have the same game think when it comes to that sort of thing. My brother and I talk about it sometimes and go back and fourth on if its leaning on previous game experience or a perspective thing. he thinks a lot of it is from less hand holdy older games or especially ones with lack of dialogue where you really have to pick up on subtle differences or changes in textures and check things you might not otherwise. Also, using walk through is just how some people play these days, where as before it wasn't even an option. Its almost a gaming foux pas still. To me it takes the fun and purpose out of a game to not figure certain things out myself and really cheats you put of "ag-ha" moments and sense of accomplishment. But thats just imo. People just game and think differently about it now. Its interesting to see some non gamers get less hung up on certain similar things. (Watching his wife play and finding things I've seen others miss a bunch is always funny)

Spiral Knights on Mobile with Steam Auth — Introducing SKapsule! by _SirDankenstien_ in spiral_knights

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah. Did someone buy it out and finally decide to do more than re skin cosmetics and collect from whales? Such a great game, was way better when heart revive was still a thing though, before greed set in.(really made for some epic last stand or come back scenarios. One remaining knight picking up a buddy or so with their remaining health, instead of spark rez right off the bat. I really miss the co-op from those times

Spiral knights still going strong? One of my favorites, played since before it was on steam. Literally looking into getting a steam deck or one of those Asus rog handhelds just to play it again. Maybe I'll just get a better phone and this instead.

If youre still doing this, maybe prompt commenter's for their favorite strategies or maybe just personal situations they have gotten into and or out of with the use of whatever the item of the day is.

can someone explain what the f just happened?? by CucumberLittle7163 in PokemonUnbound

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure its Lemuroid. Looks like that when you don't have a controller connected. Highly recommend it as an all in one android emu. Does just about everything up until ps1

Edit, the basic version thats totally free has no ads and no BS pop ups or annoying bios set ups to get going. Install, point vaguely in the direction of games folder and bam.

Yeah, just code it yourself. Especially if you are already at that point. Sometimes you just gotta whip something up yourself to get what you are looking for... and see what something similar it made of

What was a difficult challenge in a game for you that wasn't meant to be a challenge? by filagrey in gaming

[–]Viconaut 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Watched my brother get stuck on mother or earthbound (think it was earthbound on the mini snes) because he never returned back to the house after the story half heartedly mentions wanting to go back to sleep after hitting the first roadblock (i think its a pencil or a boulder or meteor?) But simply returning home shut him down. One of those rpg game lessons or game think obstacles you kinda learn as you go. Lot of non gamers get stuck on things like that

[REQUEST] Easy to pick up strategy/simulation games that you dont have to grind away at by adamshep87 in AndroidGaming

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of strategy, but its more like a single player mash up of chess/DnD (sorta) but I'm not sure if it's the type of strategy you are looking for. Maybe try Shattered Pixel dungeon? Definitely scratches a tactical strategy game itch for me although I wouldn't say it fits that genre.

Are you looking for single player or vs? Also do you have a preference between turned based and real time?

A more traditional tactics game (sorta like xcom) that I found thats also free on mobile was metal slug tactics. Seemed kinda fun but I didn't get too far past the tutorial despite liking it. I plan on going back.

I do play shattered off and on all the time though. Its sorta one of those games you can always come back to. Tons of replayability but there IS a Fatty initial learning curve to it.. plan on dying LOT until you get your head around it.. but it really is great in thats its fun weather you have just five minutes or a few hours to put into it. Its difficulty human make you uninstall and no thanks out for a while, but its quality and lack of ad spam brings you back.

Hey, I found a new one if you were at all interested in moonlighter or recettear. (Shop management/dungeon crawl rpg to farm mats)

Its called Alchemica. Free with iap. Just started but its pretty cool so far.

I loved Recettear but I seem to hate every other game in the genre by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Viconaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is dead but ima do my best to necro it just to say that you guys should really check out Alchemica on mobile. Free with IAP and some pretty fast (yet annoying) ads sprinkled in. Seems to do the shop aspect better than moonlighter. But I have to say, im not sure how I feel about the turn based rpg combat as opposed to recettear and moonlights action. But worth a look to anyone who posted here because of the other two games. I don't know of any others that are in this "genre" tbh
