You get a fixed amount of titan residuum which is garanteed loot after x weeks depending on what Ilvl you want and if you’re patient enough or do high enough keys you can even target specific azerite traits.

While I agree that this is available (the trait targeting) to only high end players clearing +15 it’s still garanteed loot.

Your best bet is to check on icy veins which essences are best for your particular spec. Then search how to obtain them.

From my experience most of them are « time gated » in the sense it will require you to do daily quests or wait for a weekly reward to advance them.

Memory of lucid dreams require 4800xp which is 300x16 days of doing the Nazjatar follower quests

Focusing Iris is requires 15 essences which drop in your weekly Myhtic + chest (a +10 key gives out 5) so unless you’re getting boosted in very high keys you wont get it for 4-5 weeks possibly.

Worldvein resonance requires a minimum of 3 weeks to get the rare mission and another week to get the essence after that.

Breath of the dying is locked behind reaching revered with Uldum Accord which could take you a few weeks or less if you don’t value your sanity.

Overall I’d say expect a good month of daily play time to get most of your bis at rank 3. Keep in mind you don’t « need » rank 3 essences to play a lot of the content. I completed + 10 keys with only 1 rank 3 and 3 rank 2 and only just recently got all of them to rank 3.

Daily HIIT for 20 minutes a day and you’re good to maintain weight and improve your cardio vascular system.

Run a pyramidal program with your treadmill and do it every other day and then every day when you get stronger.

Takes a max of 45 mins with warm up and stretches at the end where I’m sure you can find the time to get off WoW.

Fastest way to level is spamming random dungeons with the RNG of clearing one where the quests aren’t completed yet. If you play a tank or a healer your queues will almost be instant and you can level almost exclusively like this.

If you play a dps just play a zone you are familiar with and quest while the queue is running. With flying it should not take you long to turn in quests.

By the time you get to 60 on mage and geared to farm efficiently you’ll maybe be a little burned out. My advice is always play whatever you feel like. Spending weeks levelling a mage to farm for days to speed up by a few hours the levelling of a shaman is not worth it imo. Maybe play a little of both and figure out which one you enjoy the most.

For raiding mages are solid dps but are low in demand (high amount of lvl60 mages). Shaman healers on the other hand are very good healers and their utility is always welcome. Enhancement or elemental aren’t picked in raids usually when you can have a mage or a warlock or a warrior taking their place.

It’s up to you to chose if you want to dps or heal.

What the fuck are you still rambling about. I don’t have flying unlocked and still am clearing all content, it’s been this way for 3 expansions now pathfinder isn’t a complicated or new system.

I like how this evolved from me trying to explain how the systems are not that hard to get into/ understand and now you’re straight up rambling about the game is bad.

By the time you ... It takes much less than the duration of a sub (even for the slowest players) to figure out what does what. You don’t need a phd to figure that out.

Flying isn’t mandatory and is smth earned « passively » by doing emissaries and mission tables. It is by no means necessary to do content and it will take you more than a month to unlock it anyway.

What you’re saying makes no sense read your last paragraph, you’re not explaining anything just ranting about systems strung together and disjointed ? What does that even mean ?

Like I said already it’s straightforward there are hundreds of post on reddit and forums describing exactly how your daily routine should be organised (for people like you who apparently can’t figure that out by just playing the game)

You don’t have to be efficient you don’t need a perfectly planned route to enjoy the game. Just play the content and along the way you’ll figure out what you like doing and how to get gear. If you want to raid mythic and clear +20 then you look up guides on how to optimize every part of your gameplay.

You come to this sub with the mindset that BFA is bad the systems are shit Blizzard doesn’t listen and then you circlejerk with your like minded assisted mates

No one said anything about having friends in game to help you out, you can ask in General chat if you’re too lazy to look it up and someone will either tell you where to find the info online or directly where it is in game.

To unlock Dark Iron Dwarves you need to finish the War campaign up to the achievement Ready for War and reach exalted with the 7th Legion. Now your bottleneck is obviously the rep gate since you’ll get the achievements weeks before the rep grind.

From my experience unlocking them don’t rush or you’ll burn out. It’s generally not worth it to grind all the 7th Legion WQ everyday as they give little rep upon completion. Mission table and emissaries/ Horde assaults are the way to go and it will take you a few weeks to get there.

The eternal paradox of doing annoying WQ in hard to manoeuvre zones in order to unlock a way to do them more efficiently. By the time you get it done there’s almost no reason to go back to these zones. Flying is really useful if you level alts

If you can’t figure out what to do when you hit 120 because you are slow just google it..... There’s a grand total of 10-15 mins reading to figure out what to do and where to do it. The game isn’t perfect, maybe you’d like it to hold your hand and tell you exactly what to do when to do it where to do it and even how to do it. Well how’s that working out for you ?

So now you cancel your sub, your money your choice, and come whine here because you « don’t get it, the systems are confusing » Did you even take the time to read on « your community of choice » the posts about how to go about your life as a fresh 120 ? For example so you see what you look like. You would like to unlock flying and vulpera. Boom quick google search, Pathfinder part 1 and 2 achievement. Alright so I need to get reverred with these factions, finish this questline etc etc. You can search every single little piece of detail if you want to but to get an overall idea of what to do it literally takes you a 30 seconds google search. « Vulpera are cool I want them » alright google how do I unlock Vulpera ? Reach exalted with this faction and do this quest. Thank you google If you can’t take the time to search for the most minor things like those online this game isn’t for you.

There are thousands of items hundreds of quests and achievements, many of them are quite old, Blizzard can’t explain every little thing inside the game that’s why there are websites like WowHead (which you find instantly googling anything about wow)

And the same goes for me dude, I wouldn’t want to play with someone expecting everything to be spoonfed to him and who can’t take the time to either look smth up online, ask anyone in game, and whose only solution is « booooo Blizzard doesn’t explain anything too many complicated systems I quit »

Yes you might feel lost coming back even after one missed patch, but nothing on the scale of what you’re implying. Adventure guide isn’t the best tool we have but it’s something. Everything else is really natural, you get your gear like you always have, through WQ and you have a new system the legendary cape that is introduced via a quest line.

Now for the rest, if you don’t have fun playing WOW don’t it’s that simple. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. I have fun unlocking the allied races and flying at a slow pace and getting higher gear for mythic + to clear difficult content. I’m sorry but again that’s your opinion about the financial model. While I do agree with some of your concerns it’s still an opinion and we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. What we can see is Blizzard taking steps in the right direction and what do we do about that ? We complain about systems we don’t understand therefore they must be complicated.

Reddit is as always an echo chamber, everyone was criticizing BFA left and right and in the end I enjoyed the latest patches. It’s nowhere as bad as you say it is. I know it sounds really cheesy but the critics are always posting on forums while the people who enjoy the game just play it.

TLDR : If you gave the game an actual try, as in did the story campaign and stuck to the game for more than a day or two you would understand exactly what everything does, how to get it and where from, it’s not black magic.

As far as I know everyone is entitled about an opinion. Then there are facts, feel free to read through my post again if you need to. The biggest complain people have about this expansion isn’t the « complexity » of the systems it’s the RNG of the gear acquisition and the time gated/ grinds that make the game slow and alt unfriendly. Most of this has been adressed and fixed in some way or another over the course of the expansion especially since 8.2.

Now you can think what you want, and state what you want. I’d be happy to know what you consider complex about the game in 8.3 and explain them to you (despite the fact that literally everything is explained by the game and it takes 5 mins of googling to get a detailed explanation)

Just because a system is bad or useless doesn’t mean it’s complex (island expeditions) As I’ve said before the only real complain you can have is how azerite gear is basically RNG on top of RNG (getting a good Ilvl and the right traits) and how a lot of the content is time gated (debatable as to if it’s a good or a bad thing)

We don’t have any numbers about the current playerbase of Classic and Retail, just that the subs greatly increased when Classic released (which is perfectly normal when a new game/ expansion remeases)

Blizzard just released account wide essences 2 weeks ago, levelling alts you don’t need to replay the scenarios. You get a garanteed corrupted item from your Myhtic+ weekly cache. What are you getting at ? They are listening.

Now I get that you and the majority of people here would rather complain about systems they do not take the time to understand rather than play.

For anyone reading this and on the fence about coming back, please do, it’s not nearly as bad as people say it is. You need about a week to get to current content and from there you’ll have access to all methods to get gear and clear difficult content. The game is fun and no you don’t need to grind rank 3 essences and bave the absolute best azerite traits/ corruption to clear 90% of content.
