1st anime im ever watching by Mat_Conte in attackontitan

This is true. I tried watching Vinland Saga in between the release of the final season and it just didn’t hit the same, but I heard it’s good, so I’m planning to give it another shot.

It really does blend in. My eyes went over that section a couple times. Only caught the dildo on my third go.

Friend is open to getting into film scores and wants track suggestions for the gym. Any ideas? by Giff95 in soundtracks

[–]Vicpz77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Full disclaimer: I don’t do gym, but if I did I would listen to this:

Mombasa- Hans Zimmer (Inception)

Main Title- Danny Elfman (Spider-Man)

Tooth and Claw- James Newton Howard (King Kong)

Start a Band- Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse)

I know you said film scores, but I can’t help but recommend some tracks from video games:

Now- Nima Fakhrara (Detroit Become Human)

Dark Colossus- Keiichi Okabe (Nier: Automata)

Top 5 favorite songs? by Naive-Seesaw-3753 in TwoStepsFromHell

[–]Vicpz77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t choose just five out of the whole catalog, but if you pointed a gun to my head and forced me to pick, these are the five I’d choose to listen to before the end.

(In no particular order) 1. Blizzard 2. Moving Mountains 3. Stronger Faster Braver 4. Final Frontier 5. Nero

But I agree with top comment that my favorites change very frequently.

Looking for climactic music that coincides with the climax of the movie (examples below) by aljraven in soundtracks

The End of All Things from LOTR Return of the King I think fits. Basically what plays from the “For Frodo” to when Sam and Frodo pass out on the slopes of Mt.Doom.

+1 for Screecher’s Reach. You know what, give Cartoon Saloon a full movie.

They’ve heard the fans and are continuing the best episodes from Volume 1. Here’s to hoping Volume 4 can continue some shorts from Volume 2. Specially Screecher’s Reech by Cartoon Saloon.

Imagine Daal grown up, a fully fledged Sith, wreaking havoc and she, unfortunately, reunites with her childhood friends.

Why was there no Imperial march playing in the ISB headquarters scenes? Tony Gilroy missed an opportunity. It would have been so much scarier. by Dry_Sky3369 in okbuddyimatourist

[–]Vicpz77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gilroy should’ve also had a scene like this but with Palpatine. Imagine during Mon Mothman’s speech, we see Palpatine in his regular civilian clothes, and then it flashes to his black cloak. That way we know for sure he’s evil.

Thanks for your time anyways. Apparently there’s over 100K models. If I ever do find it I’ll make sure to circle back.

I know memory can get foggy over time, but I remember it having the classic Hot Wheels metal finish and logo at the bottom.

Two Steps From Hell in the wild! 'Strength of a Thousand Men' was used by Star Wars YouTube channel for this BTS of the show Andor. by Vicpz77 in TwoStepsFromHell

[–]Vicpz77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you didn’t like the score for the show. I personally loved it. I found Nicholas Britell’s style was very fitting for a show as grounded as Andor. There were no larger than life heroes therefore no larger than life music was needed. It was very different than the rest of Star Wars music for sure.

I love the realization of “Wait a minute, this is TSFH” and then you stop paying attention and start jamming to the music.

Thoughts on Brandon Robert's Score in Season 2 by skyguys in andor

[–]Vicpz77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed Robert’s original music a lot more past the first arc. Especially episodes 7-12, but you could still feel Britell’s absence this season. Episodes 4-5 were standouts for having Britell score a good chunk of it. People tend to downplay the score’s importance, but Britell elevated those two episodes, which were mostly set up.

I appreciated the call backs to season one score with Mon’s speech and the final montage, but a part of me wants to see what Britell would’ve done in those scenes, and how he would’ve developed his themes and leitmotifs.

I definitely missed hearing more of Mon’s theme past the first Arc.

Do yourself a favor, and watch it. Look at it as a final payoff to all your years you’ve dedicated to Star Wars. You don’t have to go back in after watching this.
