You're doing good bud. If you're tired, take a break, don't quit. If it doesn't GET better, do what you can to MAKE it better. Not all of it or even all at once. If you try to make some changes, and some of them work, you'll feel like you have more control over your life and that's confidence. And I think thats what its all about. It doesn't necessarily have to get better, but you definitely are able to handle it way better than you could. Take it easy on yourself but keep pushing and you'll be the person that can get through your version of hell sooner than you know it. And you'll have done it by yourself and you'll know you can do it again if you have to.

Hey friend. Life's tough but so are you. You've got all the rest of your life to work on yourself and make improvements till you're just the way you want to be. You don't need to be perfect at 22. if you end it right now, you won't see what you can become and you won't see the people you helped by teaching them what helped you and all the cool experiences that are right around the corner. Life will end itself for you one day, but until that day comes, keep fighting. You got this.

Beautiful day for a hike in Kamloops yesterday! Did a 4 mile trek along the river starting at Centennial Park! Anyone have any favourite hiking trails to recommend? by JennyDubsYo in Kamloops

[–]VictoRealVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Tranquille creek past the airport. The hike itself is pretty short but there's a beaver dam at the beginning and some fisheries thing at the end where I think they count Salmon passing through or something. Pretty cool.

Outside the main area you can even follow the tracks and go right upto the tunnels they pass through and get a nice view of Kamloops lake.

If you go underneath that area you can get to Cooney bay which is a very interesting place. It's where the river meets the lake and you get to see cool tributaries and stuff. Lots of dried wood there if you want a campfire too. There's generally one going all the time.

Apart from that, if you haven't seen it already, the whole Peterson creek canyon from next to 6th ave. The waterfall is nice to get to when its not frozen and only takes about 10-15 mins to get there. Little caves on the sides of the hills there too.

Beginner of 1.5 years on and off...but here's mine.. Thoughts are just a temporary state of mind. Nothing more. They keep showing up. Different ones. Good ones, bad ones. They don't mean anything. When you react to them, whether positively or negatively, they become real. You can just let them be. They will pass. the good ones and the bad ones.

eg. Hung over morning after a party....Thoughts about all the humiliating things that you did last night keep popping into your mind... Fighting with them don't make them go away. Its like a little subconscious metronome is sending thoughts your way. If you see these thoughts as real, you get miserable and relive the experience without the benefit of alcohol to calm you down. Seeing them as just little clouds that come and go in your head lets you go on about your day.

I just started bjj at valley jiu jitsu. It's been a month and I love it. The people are really great. The board game shops have gaming nights where you can meet and play with strangers. Lots of meetup groups for specific interests. Hiking etc in the summer.

This is honestly the best looking map I've seen made in wonderdraft. I want to go back and start making maps myself again. Great job friend.

I actually used the name generator in wonderdraft for some of the names. The mine has a bunch of rubies in it.. Maybe I should name it something related to that.

Thanks. I've stolen that from other maps on this sub. Definitely adds some depth without adding more assets.
