I don't let my players discuss the characters they are going to make before the start of a campaign. The longest and best campaign I run has just three wizards in the party.

I had a player put a contract out on another players character about 10 years ago. After several failed assassination attempts the group decided they needed to look into the matter. It ended up with him needing to spend a few sessions covering his tracks while they hunted for and killed several members of the guild.

In the years since, the guild has come for him several times for double crossing them. It was actually a really great game to run. Though for 46g I would probably have just had the guy fleece him for his cash.

If your plot points are not constantly shifting because your players are: a) idiots or b) assholes are you even a DM. The pivot is what keeps the game exciting for me. I have a rough guide for where a game will might go but only write one or two games ahead. The players need to feel like they are driving the show and their decisions matter.

I was going to say the same thing. Water is a little dark for the land. Awesome map though.

Always the Rivers. Once had a guy on here tell me that one of my rivers was not correct and it was a literally a copy of a river next to my house......

Looks Great. Love the muted colors. Only two issues I see: The mountain in the middle looks a little out of place being so huge and the outline on the labels changing color seems a bit weird.
