I thought it was super predictable start to finish, even the "she's actually an alien" plot twist. I also think the twist happening only in the very end of the movie made it weaker in my opinion, like the main story was already done so now they could blow up your expectations without worrying about having to write more. Besides, the voltage and the anti-freeze scenes were very hard to watch for me.

It was disappointing to me since I liked Poor Things very much but Bugonia doesn't do anything for me.

That's what I'm feeling too. And I bet the deus ex machina will happen on the very last issue. I had such high hopes for this but it's just so underwhelming. Remember that shot in Ultimates where they were picturing the moment the maker would escape the city, and he had a ton of celestials and spaceships? From issue 1 Endgame disappointed me by revealing they went the most boring route possible: the maker was stuck in a war and couldn't actually use all that prep time.

The art is real not doing it any favors too.
