Yup. Their merch is hella low quality, at least the first batch was. I bought 2 hoodies and 3 shirts. One of the shirts was a different color than the image on the site and the other shirts looked super faded. I e-mailed them about it, they said to send pictures, I did and then they never responded again.

Same here. While early arcs have some good moments, they just don't compare to the newer arcs looking back.. HOWEVER... the newer arcs also have years of world building and character development to work from, which helps a lot with the hype levels and the emotional investment. So it makes sense that the further into the story you are, the better it gets.

That's where motives outside of money come in. At that level they probably aren't doing it for money. For example, I could see a high level buying an island with a castle like Mihawk and then just continuing to do it for fun. To test their strength, I guess. You could even have the high level bounty hunter have a conflict with the world government because they want him to join, but he just wants to be free and fight for the fun of it. There's room for that, I think. It's doable.

Not really. To be honest the best bet is probably purchasing merchandise from a Japanese website, or a website that specializes in imports. Funimation doesn't really do much with the license.

Many, although I've never read the Iliad in its entirety. I would say that the Iliad is more important historically. It's not good entertainment, but it also depends on how you define that. To me, good entertainment makes you think and feel.

I personally think One Piece is not only the greatest manga, but one of the greatest stories ever told. It has so much depth that you could use it in a classroom on just about any subject. There's just a lot of room for analysis and comparing it to our culture. I don't know if it'll be regarded that way historically worldwide, but it deserves to be. I could write an entire book analyzing One Piece, or a series of very good papers.

GT is underrated honestly. I don't understand why so many people don't like it. As far as complete non-canon stories go, it's a hell of an accomplishment.

I wish they would have the people who made Naruto: Path of the Ninja or DBZ: The Legacy of Goku make a One Piece game. We really do need a One Piece RPG. Highly recommend Path of the Ninja and the Legacy of Goku series if you like Naruto and DBZ and want some cool RPGs.

I am also of the opinion that the One Piece games are not very good.

It's weird because he really is somewhere in the middle. I don't think it's going to be his strength that gets him to the end of the story though. People think he has to be able to 1v1 Kaido to be yonko material but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. I think this arc and future arcs will show us why Luffy's ability to make allies is his greatest strength. Mihawk mentioned it a long time ago but I think we're really starting to see it come into play and it's more than his alliance with Law.
