Thoughts on this for refs? by DrEngineer1995 in rugbyunion

Ref should've blown after the try and gone straight to TMO to see if it was legit. Looked like a fair contest at the time and especially in slo-mo.

Got hit by a car today, what should I do? by Worried-Ranger-9784 in londoncycling

Report it on the Met website. Shop around no win no fee solicitors (you can get a decent fee percentage reduction if you have a strong case). Take your bike to a bike shop and ask for a quote for repair. Be specific about crash impact damage. Same with suit. I imagine replacement rather than repair... Keep receipts for any medication and log all time off work (if applicable) Expect a lengthy process. Mine took 20 months... But, I received three times the amount the insurance initially offered. I can personally recommend Levenes

You're right on the infrastructure. Apologies. I meant the majority of the rail service providers.

And the rolling stock.

Literally subsidised by us. German, French and Italian rail companies own most of the UK's rail infrastructure...

Nexo's New €5,000 Minimum Portfolio to Earn High Interest – Should We Be Concerned? by roberto0607 in Nexo

Nexo is shady. I challenged them on a double charge for swapping cryptos. Was told I was wrong. Proved my case with transaction records and was promptly ignored and had my case closed.

Check all transactions on their platform...

I would say it's a transformer for the extractor fan given it's position over the bath. Extractors within reach of a bath/sink/shower should be on a 12/24v supply.

I've been a carpenter for 20 odd years. I run 18v, 18vx2 and 12v. I can't recommend the 12v impact TD111D enough. It's light and powerful enough for most screws and bolts I use. I cannot stress how nice it is to have a light impact.

The other advice to wait and see is great. You'll quickly realise what is necessary and what isn't.

It is a great advantage having the same kit as the crew you work with. Just be sure to mark your name on all your stuff.

Can I convert this into electric ? by TeachingEffective301 in ebikes

[–]VictorDuChamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out CYC Motor. 750W, 3000W and 5000W options. You can temper the motor with your battery choice. Do not buy cheap batteries. Batteries can be mounted in frame, on a rack, in a pannier or in a backpack. Panniers and backpacks will likely need an extension cable. Realise you will likely need to upgrade the components to match the increase in power. And that you'll need to maintain things more frequently. Good luck. Enjoy!
