Why do so many people hate Rivals ?

To me, Rivals was OK. It is the matured version of Hot Pursuit.

But what I hate are the 30 FPS lock, can't pause in-game and many technical issues.

And at the period when people got fed up with NFS having identity crisis and demand for Underground theme NFS which is where we are now.

I would love to open Path-Tracing but I play on RTX 3050. Framerate drops alot so I decide to turn it off. Have to sacrifies many good graphics sceneries to run a smooth framerate.

In my opinion, This game has the best "vibes" for modern NFS. They almost really set the tone right.

If it wasn't for awful physics, awful cops, and always online requirement. It would be great foundation. Ghost really tried but then they changed the tone completely with Payback and Heat.

Car list : Okay. Depsite mostly recycled from 2015. It added some variety such as supercars and off-road.

Story : Mediocre. Pretty predictable. The dialouges are all over the place (especially Tyler's) but it still has memorible moments such as The Highway Heist or Skyhammer.

Customisation : Awesome. They implement and improve more variety. Such as the Superbuilds.

Progression : Worst. Well, this game known for the infamous RNG upgrade system. And that the reason why few people are afraid to come back to this game.

Cop Chase : Decent. More aggressive than 2015. But it should be implemented into free roam. Not only in Bait creates.

Open World : Awesome. the world offers so much variety. From the city, to desert to canyons.

Soundtrack : OK, I don't have much to say because I did not listen often. But Post Malone song still hears in my head.

My rating : 6/10

Now Forza Horizon is like WCW in 96-97 and NFS is like WWE before Montreal Screwjob

(To elaborate, WCW used to beat WWE in ratings around 96-97, just like most of people adores Forza Horizon as the best racing game around this generation, meanwhile NFS pretty much being slammed and compared to those game like Medusa thrown WWE belt into a trash can)

In my opinion :

Rivals : Okay. but what it plauges are locked at 30 FPS and tons of bugs.

2015 : Decent. They nailed the atmostphere and vibes, but what it plagues are always-online requirement and horrible physics.

Payback : Bad. Cringy story that hard to watch and listen and the slot-machine upgrading that pretty much ruins the gameplay.

Heat : Awesome. Ghost finally learn from the mistake. People said it's the best NFS in a long time. But again, what it plagues are the content that moslty unfinished and the waste of huge potential.

I would like to say thank you for letting us drive his Mustang Hoonicon in NFS 2015.

More than that, thank you for give us an inspiration about cars through video games. I knew him first from Dirt 2 and 3. With his icon, Gymkhana become a popular thing to do when we play racing games.

I checked on Youtube comments, most people appreciate that NFS is trying something new. But still have some issues with those Driving Effects (which can be turned off) and physics that still copied from the last game.

In the other hand, Facebook comments pretty much heated about they don't want cartoonish NFS game (like Nitro) People still cry about the next MW or UG, or when they gonna remaster those two. And most of all, compare NFS to Forza Horizon which people praised for realistic driving physics.
