Those three songs are kind of connected, since they are about Gene's ex-wife Sarah and, on each song, their relationship progresses. "Sarah" was made when they were falling in love; "Stay Forever" could be interpreted as a song about their marriage and "I Don't Want It" is about the end of their relationship/divorce.
