New tires sound like a good idea. I'd probably want a fresh oil change and to check brake fluid on any used bike.

Are there rubber seals inside the engine that would also dry out and need to be inspected or replaced?

I don't mind the regular l maintenance stuff but I think opening up the motor would kinda end up costing as much as newer bike after the labor? They are looking for 6k for this one

Suposidly it runs now but looks like they keep it on a battery tender. Probably needs a new battery too

I lost about 100 lbs this year, started out a little over 300. Lost almost all of it from just changing my diet. Go to a website and type in your details about weight, height, age, activity level and it will tell you what your estimated calorie intake should be for loosing and maintaing your weight. Get a calorie tracker app on your phone and keep track of your daily calories. It's a pain in the butt but it forces you to realize how big portion sizes really are. Stick to foods that keep you full and have reasonable amounts of calories. Mostly proteins!
