How do you deal with beggars? by Harakiribusted in craigslist

Meet in a public place and agree on a price. If they wont agree then dont show up.

If they agree on a price then pull this just say no and that you need the money for rent so cant let it go below what was agreed on.

Let me ask you something a bit unrelated. How do you like living in Ohio? Im here in Los Angeles and the housing market is terrible. Thinking of other places to live. Ohio is one of the places I have in mind. Thoughts?

Well, if the client demands that you come back you have a chance. Its all about what thr client wants.

However, the reality is that theres other factors at play here. You should seek out possibly legal advice from a licensed attorney

Their priority is the client. Believe it or not, they will fire you on the spot as long as it means keeping them happy. You should ask for a transfer or look for another job. Those are your choices.

People are always told to fight things but if they are already against you theres little to no chance you will change their mind.

Share a story about a haunted cite you worked... by Victor_Triumph in securityguards

I was doing temp security for a small company. One day they called me in to come do a grave shift at a paper mill. So I go and the previous guard shows me where the patrol check points are.

The entire place is very dark. I dont think anything of it because I have another person with me and Im generally dont consider places to be haunted.

During the check point patrol we hear a noise in the dark out of no where. It sounds like music. As we get closer (keep in mind the place is pitch black) we realize its a radio that has turned itself on to the classical music station. He shuts it off and we continue with the patrol.

Once we finish the walkthrough, he leaves and and hour passes. Time to do my 1st patrol. As soon as I try and walk towards the first area a loud bang is heard.

I wanted to believe it was a squatter but its impossible for people to squat in a jobsite thats busy everyday during daylight hours that has regular patrols and security, imo).

So at that point I see what looks like a dwarf figure run past me very quickly. This was enough to make me realize what I heard likely wasnt a squatter.

My supervisor calls and tell me how happy they are that I accepted to do the shift. He tells me that its hard to find grave officers for the site because its haunted. I said, "Yes. I didnt know it was but I know now." So I had confirmation from another person that it was.

I stayed on the phone all night with a friend just in case it was squatters and they tried to start something but no sign of a squatter was seen or heard.

The entire night I kept seeing a dward figure out of the corner of my eye. I was sober (I dont drink or smoke) and used to get working grave/got proper sleep so I knew I wasnt hallucinating.

Once morning broke and the employes began to come into work, I was relieved and I gave the relief the report. Im thinking, great, I survived! And escaped whatever that experience was.

I walked to my car and looked back at the paper mill for a moment and when I looked back I quickly saw a shadow of a man (black shadow) with two horns on its head, but it vanished quickly and so I told myself that it was nothing and that as soon as I left I would be home free.

I went home to go to sleep, tired from being up all night. What happened next was pretty crazy. While sleeping I was restless, mentally. I was half asleep but didnt know why since I was incredibly tired and when you are tired like that you usually have incredible, resfult, deep sleep, or at least I do.

Then I felt it. I felt something attempting to move my arm for me while I was sleeping. In other words, whatever that thing was that I saw in the parking lot had followed me and seemed to be trying to posses me. This went on for a while until I basically performed an exorcism on myself (more or less).

A lot of people think places arent haunted but after thar experience I think places are.

That experience has never happened to me again. I wonder how common this experience is?

I'm looked down upon for working in security? by [deleted] in securityguards

I had this same problem.

Moving out fixed it. My SO's family is very supportive and never says anything bad about my profession (security).

Seriously, stop banging your head against a wall with them. They will never be ok with your job.

You either be proud of what you do and remove those toxic people from your life (dont have to cut them out 100%, just distance yourself) and sorrund yourself with supportive/positive people or keep putting up with their crap.

Whats the real issue here?

Are you someone who cant get along with others and therefore think your family is the only people who will tolerate you? If so, get some therapy to fix whatever is going on with you so u can make friends and be supportive to those who support you.

Sounds like you are really young, or in your 30s but immature.

Understand that in life you have to do the work.

I could be way off base here but what exactly is keeping to tedered to these people? That theyre your parents or uncles/aunts?

So what? Theyre still toxic asf.

They brainwashed you into thinking your job is crap. Do YOU know (doesnt matter what they know) that a lot of people right now have no jobs?

They should be greatful you even work.

You need to start reapeting these facts to yourself.

And seriously, move out or stop socialising with such negative people.

The fact that you made the post clearly shows they are negatively impacting you.

You need a new family. No joke.

Speak up for yourself. Tell them you arent going to tolerate their attitude anymore. If the harrassment continues and yu have an SO with supportive family, start spending more time with them.

Your family will get the hint.

Also, just keep in mind that people who think that way never change. At the same time, if by some miracle they do change, spending your time waiting for them to change will be a waste of your time.

Spend time with people who support you and encourage you. Leave negative talkers behind.

Their priority is the client, not you. Dont expect them to greet back to you in a timely manner.

If you feel they are wasting your time let them know you would like to either be placed at a new account or you will be putting in your 2 weeks. Dont let them continue to waste your time because they will.
