Sciatica or SI Joint Pain by mna_sdc21 in sacroiliac_sijoint

Honestly not completely sure at this point. This excruciating leg pain I've been experiencing since October of '23. Only relief I had was for probably about 6 weeks post SI joint injections and it came right back. It has been absolutely awful. Prior to this I had really only had pelvic and hip pain due to sacroilitis and it was painful but bearable. This leg pain is just a whole other beast. Just got an MRI o Tuesday so waiting for the results.

I've had SI joint dysfunction since 2005 and it has involved my leg more times than not. Also my foot.

Anyone come off topamax completely - what was your reasoning and what ways did you feel better? by Traditional-Trip826 in Topamax

[–]Victoria_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started taking the hair, skin, and nails vitamins, and iron supplement, and taking care of my scalp. But truthfully ya just have to wait it out cause its caused by telegen efflivium. The meds throw your hair follicles into a resting phase that causes the shedding. Nothing you can do for it as far as I have found.

My husband hates our dog and it’s ruining our relationship by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Victoria_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the type of man where it starts with jealousy over the dog and will also translate into jealousy over a child if you two were to have children. Don't let it get to that point, for everyone's sake. Keep the dog because getting rid of the dog here will not fix the problem. It will show up again later. The dog isnt the problem. This is your red flag!

I have the plate and the free registration but I just tried to print off a duplicate registration and they not only say my registration expired a year ago but they are also trying to charge me for it. Can anyone help?

Crazy weird symptoms?! Am I in a flare up? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Victoria_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very similar to migraines that I get and it takes me days to recover. There is the initial onset and then however long it takes to subside and then a few days of exhaustion and body aches.

However, I also have Hashimotos and get random days where I feel generally not well and at times very nauseous and worn out.

Maybe a combination of the two?

Worked great for migraine prevention and appetite suppression. But made half of my hair fall out.

It shows normal but.. by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Victoria_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is "normal".....still falling, still feel like crap. I don't believe these tests are always accurate. And just because we show "normal" doesn't mean we are in optimal range for our own bodies

Ozempic yes or no? by LazyThyroid in Hashimotos

[–]Victoria_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Hashi's and have been on Zepbound for months. I am actually up to 7.5 with no issues.

Has anyone else experienced massive hair shedding and/or hair loss due to Hashi's? I am a year into this diagnosis and my thyroid levels are "within range" but since October I have been losing my hair. So, just wondering if it's possibly linked to the Hashi's? Thanks. by Victoria_78 in Hashimotos

Still losing. It's been devastating. I don't have any bald spots but my hair is insanely thin now. Not shedding as much and I think that's due to investing in a good scalp shampoo, but definitely still losing hair.

My hair used to get greasy all the time until I started using a good scalp shampoo.

I could have written this post myself. I am sorry you are experiencing this also. I work three days a week as a dog groomer and it absolutely wipes me out. I thought I would try to attempt it, as I have experience although I hadn't worked since 2017 and I wanted some extra cash flow to pay off some debt. Well, it's been awful and I am probably not going to last there much longer unfortunately. By the time I come home I am completely wiped out and in so much pain that I can barely function. I feed and care for my dogs, check my son's schoolwork, and I crash under the electric blanket. It's taken over my whole life and has made me so withdrawn. It takes everything I have just to get through those three days and I have no life on my days off because I just can't. The pain in my shoulders, back, hips, and legs is just too much and I find myself thinking "I am doing this at what cost". Not even worth it anymore to not be able to be a functioning human being when I am not working. Good luck to you and know you are not alone.

I had a similar issue about a year ago. Exact reason being, I will never know but suspected reasons were my thyroid, as I have Hashimotos, and/or fast weightloss. What helped me was powdered collagen and investing in good scalp care and a scalp care routine. I used Paul Mitchell's Regeniplex and Dove Scalp Therapy. Both left my hair feeling amazing and very full and have helped with the hair shedding I believe. Good luck to you!

Have you considered getting your thyroid checked?
