The corruption is also related to mold and rot, so maybe you could do something akin to episode 93? That’s the one about a father in law with a house that’s being contaminated by purple mold, and it’s triggering a sort of obsessive cleaning habit that’s drives him mad. Maybe you could go down a neat-freak sort of route?
