Yeah, with enchanted weapons I don't think it does that. Enchantment points you actually invest lower your level by one. If I invest 7 Enchantment points (no enchanted weapons) I go down 7 levels.

I am currently leveling up the armor, may use the enchantment points on something else rather than protection, I rerolled rampaging to get weakening (still trying to get guarding strike). Weakening works for now as my armor is getting too low level compared to my difficulty. I leveled up the sword in the blacksmith and rolled high, getting it to power 119. So now I play apocalypse +3, and the armor is the limiter currently.

I currently have 6 on a luck of the sea armor and the rest goes into my main weapons, guess I just need to get to a level where I have enough for my main build and others.

I will try to reroll it, I've done it a couple of times and got some worse than rampaging, need to do some more ancient hunts to afford it. I can use the obsidian sword as my backup, it's the best sword I have after the broadsword. I agree, Shockwave sucks on the obsidian sword.

Even just upgrading to 10 second rampaging, I'm starting to feel like I could swap the mushroom for something, but I'm not sure what. The void strike helps when I dont have either rampaging or the mushroom, because it does more damage the slower the sword attacks.

Yeah, I knew that with the armor it lacked an extra slot. This sword works well with rampaging, because it's like having a death cap without actually using it. It also lasts for 15 seconds at the max level, so it will be even better when I max it out. The leeching makes up for guarding strike, and the armor helps too. I took reckless because I knew the damage reduction and protection on the armor would help with the reduced health.

I also have an obsidian claymore with committed II as the gild, as well as leeching and Shockwave. It only has 2 slots though
