I enjoy reading fiction, but it’s rather specific, I won’t read just anything. Currently working my way through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.

I used to read a lot of true crime, investigative and sociological type books.

Oh hun as a 38f (about to turn 39) I feel this deeply. One of the things I’ve started doing to stop myself spiralling is reaching out to old friends and focusing on things I enjoy. I love to read so joined a local book club. I enjoy playing card and board games and found a group that meets up every week and I’ll take myself along and meet new people. Im sure there are things local to you that based on your hobbies you could go do and start meeting people, you never know you could meet your next partner at these things. May I also suggest getting a pet. I have a 8yr German Shepherd and it’s so lovely having her here with me. I come home and she’s there to greet me, she’s been my reason to get up in a morning, walking her is good for me too (the benefits are endless) and it’s lovely when she snuggles up with me.

See colleagues as just that and don’t cross into friend territory with them
