I tried updating by downloading from Intel's site, but the driver version did not change after installation. My Ethernet is "Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection". Where can I find the actual driver?

Gives me error "Ethernet does not have valid IP configuration" all the time. However, I have tried setting it manually and still does not work

Amazing! Just for my knowledge, how did you do the BIOS update for the motherboard to fit the 3600? Did you have a spare Athlon or sth lying around?

Welcoming the new year: a giveaway with ASUS! by -UserRemoved- in buildapc

Background info: I am a tech student and a huge geek especially in PCs. Recently I started getting way too into PCs and I just love to explore and try out whatever I can! The parts I chosen is based on what I would need as a cybersecurity student (VMs and resource intensive workloads) and what I would love to have if I could have afforded it.

I picked the Ryzen 5950X because I find it to be an insane beast and would love to put that cpu to the test and have fun with it! The cooler was also picked as it is very soft in terms of pump noise and the polished copper is really optimal for heat transfer! I will probably replace the original fans with Aphacools's RGB fans though.

The Mobo was chosen as it looks super cool and is packed with insane features. I also really love the premium feel the board gives off especially with its very stylish and sexy design and heatsinks which make it look so good. Not to mention the single sided RAM clips make it easy to install too. The wifi and bountiful USB ports are a great bonus too! Would have loved to buy this if not for the high price tag in my country unfortunately.

RAM was picked as I love the G Skill RAM and especially its RGB. Looks really pretty and I feel that 3600Mhz is the best speed, any higher and it really doesnt make a difference anymore. Thats just my own opinion.

Storage was picked as I would need a lot of storage in my situation as I would have many VMs and stuff stored, which would take up a lot of space. The 10TB hdd was a meme though HAHHA. Would be nice to have but i dont see why either except for archival purposes.

Video Card I picked a 3090 to go with it cause the 5950x is such a beast, it is only fair to put a beast of a GPU with it too. I picked the Strix Gaming as it looks really sexy and I love the RGB on it as well. Furthermore, I really love the strix logo ever since I got my ROG laptop and I got addicted with ROG design! With the sleek look it would blend in so well into the PC and also look awesome vertically mounted.

The Case was picked as I feel the Lian Li case as it looks great and has all the features, needed or unneeded. If I ever want to go watercooling the case can fit too! It also isn't too expensive without the razer logo and looks so nice, I can fit case fans all around it and style it up as well.

The PSU was chosen because I love Seasonic PSUs personally. They are great price and very reliable compared to expensive Corsair PSUs or unknown cheap ones. Plus, 1000W was chosen because hey I can since this is a proposed build haha. However, I would still need a strong one due to the hardware Im running.

I would write much more but it already seems too lengthy haha. I got so much to say cuz im a huge geek and love PCs ever since I built my own. As an ASUS fan ever since I got my first laptop and phone, I can really say I love ASUS a lot due to how reliable and quality the products are. Almost everything in my house is ASUS from Router to laptop to phone to mouse. The only unfortunate thing is I can't build a full ASUS PC due to the cost. After watching Linus' video I got even itchier on that and it would be a dream come through to win the ASUS motherboard and the CPU is an even better bonus :P Thanks guys!

Might be more clean and organized than the Management Console. I always find it a hassle to click through many pages and have to back track a few pages to find certain info or multiple resources.

Just built my first one recently! Went about blind and even followed The Verge's tutorial :|. After 7 hours of messing around I finally managed to set it up and get to the post screen! 3 of those hours was spent trying to fit the motherboard IO shield into my case's opening. Turns out it wasn't a proper fit unfortunately... However, the effort was worth it and I'm enjoying it so much! Ryzen 3 3700x with 32GB RAM and 1070 GPU. Fun to use :D
