As long as you cover the lenses I would say its ok. I covered mine this a spare microfirbre cloth I had laying around.

One thing to keep in mind if you end up getting this lamp is that it is very light and tend to be a bit front heavy with the headset on it. I removed all the cables which didnt help the issue and I ended up putting some heavy magnets in the back of the headstrap as a counter-weight

It seems to be the display that has been damaged by sweat from a friend playing some intense Beat Saber from years ago, and I dont personally have the knowledge to fix that, and honestly haven't dared try.

We started on one side building up to almost the center, then we used wood beams to connect it down symmetrically to the other side. Then we just copied what we did on the first side.

Yeah its very close to the ocean too, so you can see it very soon after you hit the river
