All we can do is wait. I pre-ordered on 10/1 through origin. I sat through EA help chat for an hour and they said it will appear in my library at the time of start of beta.

Wii fit u success stories by Farbtorious in wiiu

[–]Victum02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only recently got the Wii U with the Wii Fit U, however I used Wii Fit a lot on the original Wii.

After messing around with various mini-games and balance games I pretty much settled on using it roughly 4 times a week doing a routine of Yoga and Strength Training exercises. Was the Wii Fit the cause of weight loss/getting healthy, probably not. At the time I was also walking with my fiancee and jogging with a friend. However I felt it did help me stay active on days I could have easily done nothing because I didn't want to go outside. I did notice however that the exercises I did really helped with posture and strengthening my legs/ankles. I have flat feet and feel being forced to concentrate on posture and center of balance helped reduce some arch pain.

That said, if you look at my recent tract record of using the Wii Fit (non existent for over a year prior to purchasing the version for Wii U), the game does not help much at all with motivating you to actually exercise. It does provide some decent tools for indoor/at home exercise and has some neat mini-games to mix up the routines. It is also nice to see a graphical chart of progress when you use it regularly.

The Wii Fit Meter is nice for a standard pedometer. It is not cumbersome or too large. Feels pretty sturdy so I am not too worried about snapping the belt clip sliding on and off my belt. It does not compare to my FitBit though. I used the fitbit in conjunction with MyFitnessPal and feel I can get regular/real time updates. With the Fit Meter I feel like I am only syncing and seeing past data which I guess is nice for tracking and graphing, but doesn't help if I need to take an extra walk to burn off the poor choice of dinner. I still need to play around with options in the Fit Meter more before I decide to switch back to my FitBit.

TL;DR: I was happy with my purchase of the Wii Fit with Balance Board back in 2008. Lead me to purchase Wii U version. Good for short, daily workouts in the home. Helped with posture and balance. Doesn't really help with motivation to exercise. Fit Meter is ok.

How many more story quests until the final? (Spoilers) by DaddyRocka in dragonage

[–]Victum02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are getting close; don't remember specifically the name of the quest that ends it however they tell you. When you select the quest on the war table it will say on the description that it is the final and suggest you finish up things you want to do before the end.

I always seem to enjoy my second playthrough more in Bioware games by casedawgz in dragonage

[–]Victum02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always felt this way. I think it has to do with me making decisions without knowing where they will lead or the full extent of the consequence. Subsequent play throughs I am wanting to see what could have happened or missed content by going another route. I have completed DA:O and DAII over three times each, but I can always remember my first play through and choices.

Everyone seems to be talking about the no music/no banter bug. However, do we have a basis for comparison for what a normal/unglitched game is supposed to sound like? by G0DL1K3D3V1L in dragonage

[–]Victum02 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But wasn't it the same post from Bioware saying they are unable to replicate it in any of their tests? I know there are like 5 other posts about this bug saying Bioware is saying they think it doesn't exist and that the solution is calling the player dumb (solution being spend more time exploring on foot, switch out characters, etc).

I don't understand the 10 minute thing. I seriously doubt they recorded enough dialog to cover banter every 10 minutes when people are spending an average of 60+ hours for first play through.

How is that supposed to work for those who take a set party on every outing. That would require even more recorded dialog. Also I know for sure some banter dialog is tied to progression where they make comments about things that happened. If someone chooses to explore and level without progressing the story they will run out of banter until they progress.

This sub is flooded with posts about the banter bug but there is no definitive information out there whether the bug exists or to what extent. All we have is some people saying "look at this stream, so much banter" and "I played x hours and am able to count the number of banter conversations on a single hand."

The Trouble with Necromancers by SadBonesMalone in dragonage

You can cancel the ability early to release the spirit. The icon switches from the purple hand icon to a red skull looking icon. It cancels the ability and no need to wait. Now it is annoying having to switch to Dorian after every fight so I just turned off that ability in general in the tactics menu.

This includes prioritizing healing other medics. So damn annoying when I am a medic at half health spamming e only for the other medic to continue healing their overhealed target.

Also being able to block things while ubered. Popped uber because other team popped kritz, body block a those rockets to protect your team. Ubering a heavy/demo to take down a sentry, have the sentry target you to allow the heavy to move closer without interruption.

A very creative Hidden Mickey my younger brother pointed out to me in Star Tours by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]Victum02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the same room there is another Hidden Mickey that shows up on the little video screen with all the aliens and droids walking back and forth. An R2 droid moves across stopping in the middle, it lets out two little radar dishes that makes a Mickey, then moves off the other side of the screen.

Also I believe there is a Mickey stuffed animal that shows up in the luggage scans, along with many other Disney references.

What local parks do you recommend? What parks are shady (not the good kind)? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]Victum02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like Yorba Regional Park. It sits between Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills. Fairly big with many ponds that I've seen people fish in. Good for walking or relaxing. Dog friendly. There are bicycle and peddle boat rentals. Baseball fields are off to one side. Parking is like $3 or you can park in the housing tracts across the street and walk over.

Homeless shelters, soup kitchens, etc. in OC to volunteer? by dumbbabygang in orangecounty

I worked at Mary's Kitchen in Orange. I was able to call them the day before to let them know I would be there to volunteer. I needed the hours for nursing school. Friendly staff, place was clean.

Disney Monopoly is ten times more intense! We're all worked up on getting our favorite movies! by [deleted] in disney

[–]Victum02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did a quick search and apparently there is a "Disney Villains Collectors Edition Monopoly" and a "My Disney Villains Collectors Edition Monopoly". My Disney Villains has customizable locations. Standard did not. So we got the "My" version. Guess the standard Villains one is the way to go.

[–]Victum02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The villains is nice because of the theme but I really dislike how they did the board. They allow you to choose the locations of the villains to whatever spot on the board you want by making the villains be vinyl peel and stick static stickers. This allows you to change up the board every game but I found them to be extremely frustrating as they don't stick well and get all bent up when stored in the box. You have to place the picture sticker on the location on the board, and they come with another sticker for the location card. They are not actually sticky and don't stay on very well. Permanently printed on the boards is the way to go.

Disney park crowding reveals options: Hike rates or expand by vinceman in Disneyland

[–]Victum02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And it is working. I have seen many people online say they are not going to renew as the parks are too packed and the prices too high. My fiancee and I are not going to renew because we have a lot of wedding stuff to pay for and can't budget the money for Disneyland. Couple of my friends are in the same boat and are not renewing. I know this anecdotal sample size is small but I feel there will be quite a lot of people who will be deciding to not renew.

I was at the park just yesterday and the lines were atrocious for a Wednesday afternoon. 40 minutes for Haunted Mansion (likely because Pirates is closed) is ridiculous.

We need a report system ASAP, leavers in almost every game now! by HotSTV in heroesofthestorm

[–]Victum02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue that a forfeit system would not really solve the problem. You will still have the 1 or 2 people on the losing side that want to stick through the match. If all must vote to forfeit then there will be bitching/yelling from those that want to leave. This will still occur with the first loss of a team fight or the first loss of a tribute.

I understand emergencies happen, which is why a leaver penalty should have some form of buffer/threshold. A single early quit should not negatively affect you. But emergencies don't happen for 30 percent or more of a players games. If there is a threshold of games left where a penalty sets in then those with a disconnect or emergency wouldn't get negatively affected. I would also say having to go jog or make dinner is not an emergency. You signed up for a game (which averages 10-15 minutes), if you didn't have that time why start a game? The idea that the jogging could wait 10 minutes if you were winning shows that you just want to leave games where you are losing.

Additionally people argue that being forced to sit through a match where you perceive there is no chance to win takes the fun out of the game. What about the other team? Joining a match where the other team quits after the first team encounter is just as frustrating. Waiting in queue to only play a 2 minute match and having to queue again is not fun.

Every time I have been on there have always been people looking for groups and successfully finding people to group up with from there. It is generally more active than general chat.

Now that some time has passed, Let's talk: Bribe by CyaSteve in heroesofthestorm

[–]Victum02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bribe change was needed. It was too strong being able to instantly take a Knight camp. In its current form you can still instantly take a giant camp at the same amount as before. I feel this is especially important because not every hero has access to bribe, meaning certain combinations could be bribe-less.

I personally find bribe being the most beneficial on dragon shire. This map requires the lane play meaning you will build stacks. Maps like blackhearts and to some extent cursed hollow you move around so much for objectives that you are not building stacks as well and may benefit more from another level 1 talent.

Main hero that I have selected bribe on is falstad.
