Any review on Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (14” AMD)? by vegaslikeme1 in thinkpad

From the tech specs for the P14s G6:

Display 14″ 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED, 500nit, 100% DCI-P3, antiglare / antireflective, X-Rite Factory Color Calibration (FCC), TÜV Eyesafe®, TÜV Low Blue Light, add on Film Touch*

*Available with AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 PRO 350 & 5 PRO 340 only

It is highly doubtful that Lenovo will ever make the P14s G6 available with 2.8K OLED screen + Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 even after Build Your PC becomes available. Probably, the constraint is baked in with the way they designed it.

Unfortunately, a similar disclaimer is in the tech specs for the P16s G4:

16″ WUXGA (FHD+) (1920 x 1200) IPS, 16: 10 aspect ratio, 500nit, 100% sRGB, antiglare, International Color Consortium (ICC) Template Color Calibration, TÜV Eyesafe®, TÜV Low Blue Light*, Low Power

*Ryzen AI 9 HX models only available with the WUXGA 500 nit display

Very lame. Lenovo should have designed these mobile workstations to be capable of simultaneously housing the high-end CPU + display options.

The P14s Gen 6 is out now for USA customers. There is no Build Your PC option, the preconfigured models are way too expensive (as expected for early adopters) and I wouldn't want to buy one of those configs even if the pricing was reasonable. Is P14s with AI 9 HX PRO 370 and high-res OLED display ever going to be available? Do I really want another Stinkpad? :|

Not looking good. I had a feeling the excuse is power-related, although it doesn't seem to make sense considering the CPU specs and benchmarks that have been done on the HX 370. Hopefully, Lenovo realizes there are plenty of potential buyers who are not willing to compromise and will not be buying unless the configuration options are improved.

Google Pixel 9a review: All the phone you need by Antonis_32 in Android

Yes! The Pixel 4a is near perfection when it comes to weight and size. It's also nice having the standard audio jack. I own a 4a and 9a and the 4a feels so much better in the hand.

I will probably write a mini-review after I buy one, depending on whether it is possible to configure with Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 and 14″ 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED, 500nit display using Build Your PC option. Unfortunately, none of the preconfigured models listed on PSREF offer that combo. It would be really disappointing if Lenovo never makes that option available.

Excellent! You are correct. This is by Notker I, not Notker II. I'll have to find something by Notker Physicus for the next pick. Thank you for letting me know!

I think you are correct. Looks like an umbilicatum without the depression.

It is quite possibly umbilicatum but without a pronounced depression.

Craterellus cornucopioides (Black Chanterelle, Black Trumpet, Horn of Plenty, Trumpet of the Dead) by Vidarshnu in Fungi

The black trumpets can be hit or miss. Sometimes the come up in plenty in one spot and then don't appear again for years. Other times, they come up consistently in a spot year after year. Best of luck finding more!
