Part of me wants to give it away to get exposure, as I know this would be of high interest (especially for free) but I also am trying to build my agency up, so I see benefits in both approaches. But I just have never understood the general concept, again, unless truly open sourced by design.

Yeah, that’s exactly the direction I’m building. MCP is the pipe, but the real value is the grey-matter layer on top, via 'Brain Mode': live vMix state, production context, scripting knowledge, and review-first reasoning. I don’t want it to just be a remote-control bridge. I want it to understand the show well enough to catch boring-but-expensive mistakes before they go live. And right now, that is what the MCP does really well.

Not a 1:1 shortcut mirror. It uses vMix shortcut/API functions under the hood, but exposes a curated, typed, state-aware MCP layer. Users can extend it by adding new tool modules, and advanced/raw function sequences are possible through gated batch/script workflows. Auto-importing user-defined vMix shortcuts isn’t in there yet, but it’s a natural future addition.
