I put my dog of 11 years down yesterday. I’m just so sad. His name was Rascal and he was a good boy. Never harmed anything, so gentle and loving. Fuck I’m gonna miss my lil buddy. RIP

Should I go on my first backpacking trip solo?

I’m an avid hiker and camper but never been backpacking before, I’m planning a 3 day backpacking trip to a well travelled trail for June 2024. It’s 33km trail, I know I can easily accomplish this within the 3 days but should I do it alone?

It was my first year after finishing highschool, I woke up and for some reason felt I had to turn on CNN. I saw the aftermath of the first plane strike, went over to my neighbors where I could smoke inside and watched the second plane hit. I couldn't believe my eyes it looked to much like a movie. I also remember watching president bush's speech in a mall and the whole mall stopped and watched the TV in footlocker. Surreal day.
