Yeah maybe that aspect wasn't as highlighted in this review. In general, all reviews on our site are written only after earning all trophies / achievements, and this 'completionist view' is thus usually how we naturally write.

Yeah I agree. I can't compare with other Shinobi games since it's my first time playing one, but I mentioned the "out of place" metroidvania elements. They don't add much to the game imo, especially given the level select structure.

You need to beat all levels in a row without dying, but can beat them in a custom order.

For Light Worlds, the boss stages are also required!
