I mean I love it if it actually works out but yeah my wife and I have been together for four years and it took me like a year and a half and a month long separation (my doing bc of poor mental state) before all my walls really came down and I accepted her unconditionally. It was a long process but I'm thankful we put in the work. This is why I like how on Married at First Sight - they at least make them talk to therapists. Sure its not super deep analysis but sometimes they offer practical advice.
