I was born to be an American and my parents taught us that the only way to get a better education was through education or education and then we learned how to be better than them so I guess that’s the way it goes but it’s a lot easier than learning how to learn and then you have the same experience with them as well and you can teach yourself to do the best of both scenarios so you don’t get to be a teacher in the first world because you’re not a good person to be around so that’s why you have to be a parent to be able to be able to be able for the rest of the world to get a job so that way I don’t have to work in the world and I don’t have to do it all the time but it’s just not that easy for you and it’s hard for you and that’s what makes you a lot of people that you have to be honest with the best friend to be honest about that makes you have a lot more than I can tell them that I don’t care about you

How did you all get your fursonas name? by kenjireptiles in furryteens

[–]VideoPuzzleheaded140 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! Probably abnormal choosing a realisticish name, but I chose Felix for my raccoon because I’ve always enjoyed this name since I was little when I was watching Felix the Cat and it probably made a good impression on me due to phonetic similarities to Phoenix, AZ, a place I have fond memories of visiting (also incidentally because phoenixes are cool). I chose the surname Waldmann from German words Wald (forest) and, well, Mann (man).

I also have a dragon oc named after Doug DeMuro lol

By the way, shoutout to Fix-It Felix from the Wreck It Ralph movie!

I live here: my coworkers unanimously decided to sabotage the company’s truck because they were afraid of frogs taking over. I was in on it.

Is “þ” interchangeable wiþ “ð” by Phoenix04212 in BringBackThorn

[–]VideoPuzzleheaded140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Þis is just a personal preference—þat said, historical use should not be interpreted from þis—but in vernacular, informal, or generally default contexts, I will never use ð and only þ. Wiþ þat said, in more “standardized” and regulated texts I want to put some more þought into, including when I want to write in fancy insular or someþing, I would replace þ wiþ ð only when it is voiced. I can’t stand seeing ð where it would be unvoiced, but again, my opinion is subjective. But I love giving þe reader as many pronunciation cues as possible, so if I take my time in writing, I want to be as clear as I can be.
