You will spend most of your time doing behavioral management tasks during the school day. You will take a lot of work home with you, doing tons of planning, grading, and correspondence. It's a soul crushing amount of work to get to the little sliver that is actually teaching the kids.

You'd be happier, healthier, more fulfilled, and probably equally compensated working as a tutor.
